Zenkai is still a thing

I've never thought it was entirely gone. Maybe somewhat insignificant as the series goes on an BP's get outlandish. But I do still consider them.

They begin relatively small, only like 1.3x or so (a la post-Earth Vegeta) - but get much larger when they are close to becoming almost nil like in the Cell arc. This is the reason for Goku and Vegeta's preposterous leaps in power around the time they fought Freeza, and why Cell still managed to get an increase despite already being stronger than a Super Saiyan

Zankai is still a thing when they need to cover the plot.

When are the shown to still be a thing?

I mean if you want to argue that something that is never shown to happen or talked about after volume 35 or so is still a thing, the burden of proof certainly isn't on the people that think it's no longer a thing.

One could argue no certain mention of zenkai could imply it's irrelevance. This is inspite the fact that it had at least some sort of credibility whenever it happened.
