So, after talking with SS2 about forum activities, we decided to do a communal watch of a series. SS2 gave me free reign of the series of choice, which we'll watch over the next two months or so starting from 1st March (or whenever everyone wants to), watching 2 episodes per day. The series in question is Legend of the Galactic Heroes. A synopsis for it can be found here: https://myanimelist.net/anime/820/Ginga_Eiyuu_Densetsu?q=ginga%20ei
Just a few pointers for those before watching:
- The series contains a heavy amount of dialogue relating to world building and characters, with many of the character dialogue featuring much intellectual discussion. If you're after mindless entertainment over dialogue focused work, it's not entirely recommended, though the battles within the series are still very entertaining.
- The complexity of it's world building makes it necessary you pay full attention to detail, as even some of the minor events can be catalysts for major ones down the line.
- The series is 110 episodes long, hence why it will carry on into the month after.
- It spends most of the first arc focusing heavily on characterisation and fleshing out the world rather than fast paced conflict. Don't be turned off by the seemingly slow pace of the early episodes, as the plot constantly builds to increasingly greater heights starting from around episode 15 or so.
It's available to watch on Youtube atm, so that's probably the easiest place to access it.

Hope we get a lot of people to partake in this.
