Who would win? This Zoro hasn't injuries and is 100%.

Arlongs bite is way too strong, IIRC. He could probably shatter Zoro's swords with his teeth, because they were crazy strong.

Zoro even says he's on a completely different level. I don't see him winning.

It took Luffy all he had to take down Arlong, I'd say Zoro puts up a good fight but loses.

Later, was not Zoro able to fight on par with Luffy?

I doubt zoro would have been able to take some of Arlong's attacks the same way luffy did.

At whiskey peak? That was a pretty meh fight. It didn't get far enough to really tell. But yeah, agreed with the above. Luffy's fruit ability helped him in a lot of scenarios.

Basically the same as sei'taer said. Zoro didn't catch up to Luffy/Arlong until Whiskey Peak, which was likely due to the Zenkai-esque boost he implied each of the Straw Hats received when overcoming death which he mentioned in Enies Lobby.

I also don't think the Whiskey peak fight is a large enough sample size. Is one clash between bazooka and oni-giri really indicative of an entire fight between the two?

I don't know. Did Luffy took Arlong that serious. As far as I remember, I think Luffy was a bit careless and not taking the fight all that serious.

When he fought Zoro, he went serious from the beginning (look at his facial expressions), like he could not be careless with him.

Sanji was that much weakened against Arlong? I don't remember him being that injuried and even so he could not do jack against Arlong. If Zoro is on Sanji's level, that could imply Zoro still could not beat Arlong, but I don't know. Look at how Luffy acted later in his fight against Zoro.

Sanji fought one of the officers and was visibly fatigued after. He said if Luffy couldn't beat Arlong that was basically the end, admitting inferiority.
