In the anime he, Vegeta and Kuririn get to toss some blasts at 2nd form Freeza before Piccolo arrives but don’t even dust him.

Is Gohan permanently enraged or does his anger last as long as it did against Freeza? If it's the former, he beats healed Gohan fairly easily. If the latter, healed Gohan could win if he survives the initial onslaught.

Enraged Gohan wasn't that close to Freeza. Gohan's assault only did superficial damage and Freeza implied he could have handily beat Gohan as he was. He just wanted to return the pain he received "many times over".
