Objectively, Kurilin's death was probably the most shocking since it literally came out of nowhere in the original manga and anime. Shen Long's death was pretty shocking, too; I don't think anyone expected Daimaoh to just straight-up kill Shen Long like that.

I wasn't really surprised by Kurilin's death as a kid since I had seen DBZ first, but Shen Long's death caught me off guard.
