The best strategy I've found is to try to get one dog at a time with chi blasts. It does get easier once you're able to stun enemies.

I know for a fact that I've done this once (through 3DS hacked Virtual Console, but no save states) playing through it again after almost ten years, I find myself left wondering how I managed to do it. Each of these early game dogs/wolves must be as strong as Freeza himself.

I suspect if we ran it last year, we'd get four votes and two of them would be after the deadline. :troll

Dragon Ball Super is lowkey good

I'm guessing every Pokémon game we saw on Switch was rushed to meet deadlines with anime, merchandise, etc. Pokémon isn't first party Nintendo developed unlike Zelda. Switch 2 hopefully has enough power to help fix most of the issues, but it will also come down to optimisation.

I bought Legends Arceus last year. Played through a portion of the opening but it was a slog. The game looks like an upscaled Wii game lol. But the premise is interesting and the catching mechanic is fun.

Gen 10 most likely. Wouldn't be surprised if they announce a Johto game. Either in Let's Go or Legends styling.
