大 (dai) = Great/Grand
魔 (ma) = Demon/Magic

While no kanji is used in the title, that's what "Daima" means.

It's set in 魔界 (makai), meaning "Demon World/Realm". It features 魔人 (majin), which refers to supernatural, magical beings like "demon(s)" and "genie(s)". And the working title for the show was "Dragon Ball Magic". That would have been a better title, imo. "Daima" is too weeb.

Dragim ball magic is lame. And googling it would mix up with searching about magical powers in dragon ball.

Gohan is too weeb. Should've called him Son Wheat.

But "Dragon Ball Super" was OK even though it would get mixed up with the "Super Dragon Ball Z" game and other "Super" bullshit from the franchise? Lol

"Dragon Ball Super Super Hero" too damn long and easy to get mixed up with Super Dragon Ball Heroes

By your logic Daima gets mixed up with Piccolo Daimaoh. Oh and "Dragon Ball Kai" gets mixed up with "Supreme Kai" and "King Kai" 🤣
