why didn’t/wasn’t he able to help the others vs them as an SSJ? He asked if he really did have the power to defeat Cell how could he bring that out? Also Trunks, Vegeta & Cell were surprised when Gohan one-shotted that first Cell Jr. (and after he one-shotted everyone Piccolo was seen too). We’re they surprised at the ruthlessness or that he one-shotted it?

Cell basically had him pinned down. If Gohan tried to haphazardly attack then Cell would've kicked him down again. Realistically he should've been able to one shot them in the same way as a Super Saiyan.

What about Goku calling them “ferociously strong”? Goku is known to be blunt about stuff, if he wanted to warn them about their power, all he could say was maybe “watch out.” or something like that. It’s possible they were messing-around or…

Yes, of-course but I’m just adding stuff together. That & Gohan not (being able to?) interfere & help them out and the other stuff. The Cell Jr.s might be above Goku at-least.

They were only giving Goku problems because he already lost all his energy fighting Cell and Cell himself said they were barely above Vegeta or Trunks.

SSJ Gohan should be able to stomp the lil buggers regardless.
