Is Vegeta finally as strong as Goku, now that he fights for others?

In Z Goku it's implied and probably outright stated that Galu is stronger than Vegeta because he fights for others (Earth, random people like Suno and Upa, original DB crew, Z fighters, Namekians). Vegeta now fights for others, like Cabba, Bulma and Trunks (in that order of importance lel).

Does he fight for others too? Like all of Earth? Or for Goku?

He should be as powerful as Goku now.
