Why do some fans have such a hard time accepting certain characters' strength?
One example is Chi-Chi. Even if you take into consideration Goku's confusion he was still holding his ground fairly well and she still pushed him back to the point of him taking into the air of which she still easily...

I noticed both Yamcha and Chi-Chi were stronger than Krillin in their debuts. They were on par with tailed Goku... not as strong but were within his ballpark while Krillin was outclassed by tailless Goku. Chi-Chi casually outran a T-rex (of which top speed is 18-25 mph) then cut it's head off...
Both often get labelled (unfairly) as gag fights by some fans even going as far as to compare them both to Nam vs. Ranfan... the latter being a gimmick fighter who's only real strength came from her sexuality.
Goku vs. Chi-Chi: This one is rather controversial among debaters. There are those...
Between "He won a nothing tournament... he would be relevant pre-DBZ... he just a joke compared to the Z-Warriors", "OMG she can fly... she is BoZ Krillin... and she broke someone's neck... she's soo strong *jerking off*", or "Piccolo said their powers are dimensions aparts... he must be...

Which is more annoying to you?
I dunno if anyone's picked up but Chi-Chi and Yajirobe seem to have really high potential... at least compared to the other humans.
Chi-Chi
In her first appearance, she seemed like an ordinary 12 year old girl but she was able not only outrun a T-rex (their running speed is estimated up to 18...
I've always attributed Yamcha's shyness towards women as a result of him bullied by his 4 older sisters and his mother (and that's also why he rebelled to become a desert bandit). His father was a deadbeat who left the family so he was no help.
It would also explain his wannabe-alpha male...
He was never such a sniveling lazy coward in Dragon Ball. I mean, he was still belligerent glutton but he was a great fighter, an experienced swordsman, and pretty badass when you think about it.
Then come DBZ, he wants nothing to do with the Z-Warriors. He refused to train to fight the...
