Sorry, I didn't say it more clearly, but this is 1st Form Freeza's power multiplied by 3x. Like a Kaio-Ken without the strain, maybe.

Technically, 1st Form Freeza powered up too. When he busted off his armor. One might say that it was part of his second transformation, but I would counter that he had time to chat with Vegeta about it, so it can be argued to be part of his 1st form. Just beefed up. It was in lines with what Vegeta was expecting, since he showed no fear.

I'll have to rewatch this, but I will remain with my initial answer till then meng.
