How close are Goku and Krillin prior to Goku's tail growing back?

I was thinking about this recently. I went to look at the full context of that scene when they jump the same height, and Roshi told them to jump as closely as they could. I think they’re rather close, like 9/10 close.

What about that giant rock? Didn't Goku push it pretty far vs Krillin who could barely make it move? 9/10 could still be true.

They both moved the rock a bit, but I see no noticeable difference between them.

I went through this with P and Goku holds Kuririn in high regard through the tournament. Kuririn can do everything Goku can, only somewhat worse.

Krillin literally states that he can’t move the rock as far.

I don't think Goku gained any power when his tail returned. All his statement meant was that he had better balance with his tail.

I think Kuririn is decently close to Goku, but Goku has him beat in a dominant fashion. Something like Goku vs Yamcha from the 1st arc.
