A question about fusion- Well Vegito actually.

Maybe this theory about SSJ powers being applied to the fused base can work and explain why base fusions are
so strong without having to resort to fusion multipliers like 100x Maybe, when fused, the fusion perceives the
max power each body can produce.

Both Goku and Elder Kaioshin imply that.
Goku's definiton of Fusion implies Base Gotenks should be higher than SSJ kids and Elder Kaioshin directly states Goku and Vegeta being the top masters is what the earrings so effective, even though Vegetto was a mere Super Saiyan.

That's how Goku described the Fusion to function like.
It creates a being with powers beyond those of the people fusing.
That means Base Gotenks is stronger than the kids unfused and Gogeta is stronger than SSJ3 Goku at Base form.

Fusion is just a mess when you bring in multipliers and battle powers anyway.
Base Gotenks is supposed to be an amazing power up from what the kids have shown, yet his SSJ form is only around Goku's power.

Looking too much into it. SSJ Gotenks is far above the unfused SSJ kids, and any fused Super Saiyan in general would be above the respective halves.

Depends on where do you stand on Gokuhan (Gohan + Goku = dance) and Gogeta.

Gokuhan would be perfectly equal since Gohan has to match Goku's and Goku has to lower to match to Vegeta.

How much faith do you have in Goku's fusion (dance) with Gohan?

So if fusion takes into account the full power of a fighter, why wouldn't Gogeta be vastly superior to Gotenks?

Maybe, when two people fuse, the proccess ''reads'' their max power in their bodies, which is, in Saiyans' case, their higher forms.

There is no formula that pertains to how strong any particular fusion will become. If such evidence existed, Toriyama would have included it within the original Manga.
