A theory I read on un-seen time-line

Look at this (if you can & want to) it's long & I don't think any-one here will read it but I was surprised (I didn't care about the 2nd DB-Super part so I didn't read that):
^OP is essentially saying that it's the paradoxes that split time-lines, if thought of in that way it makes sense that there is after-all a Cell-Games with-out Trunks, since Trunks looking at the Cell stuff was what made him change his decision & split the time-lines. Cell had already time-travelled, if Trunks leaves with the blue-prints or what-ever then Cell would show-up either-way at that point since it had already time-travelled. There's also another alternative theory there ("No Cell and no Trunks (Alternate)").

Shouldn’t there be 5 timelines then? The Cell from timeline 4 has to come from somewhere.

It's the same cell from Trunks' timeline and the main timeline, just that his path was split by further time travel shenanigans.

I think I get it. It's like there's infinite timelines, but there are only rings for the splits?

Cell's Time Machine can take them to Trunks' timeline, which only makes sense of Cell of the main timeline's(not fetal cell) history stems from Trunks' timeline.

Furthermore in the DBS anime and a companion guide it is said that Goku Black's timeline was deleted when Beerus destroyed present Zamasu, but the time ring protected Goku Black from causality.

This suggests timelines can both branch and be overwritten.

The unseen timeline is overwritten by Cell when he interferes with the main timeline, which was going to be the unseen timeline without Cell's presence there.

Trunks' timeline was going to be Cell's timeline until Trunks returned more powerful than in the prior loop and with foreknowledge that Cell was going to ambush him in Age 788, due to the events in the main timeline interfered with by Cell.

It's like a loop just like with Zamasu. But that really only leaves two timelines if they can be overwritten. So what are the other timelines?

The DBS manga emphases that it is the choices of a time traveler that affects the flow of time, not merely the presence of the time traveler. This would imply that time travel in Dragon Ball works on a macro level, not a micro level. In theory it would mean you can exist in the past of your own timeline as long as you did not affect major events, or if you were always meant to be in the past according to a self-fulfilling loop.
