Here's the quote from Daiz:

Freeza had tenaciously been revived and became a demon of vengeance. Through mechanization, he had obtained even more gigantic power, but he is completely powerless before Super Saiyan Trunks. Easily dodging Freeza's sneak attack, Trunks finely chops up Freeza and then finally eradicates the remaining pieces.

You could argue that, but I don't think that is what the Daizenshuu meant by "but he is completely powerless before Super Saiyan Trunks".

The Daizenshuu sums up what is stated and create explanations to what isn't explained in the manga, so it is just summing up the fact that Freeza was trashed by Trunks, it is never stated anywhere that Freeza was using his full power against him in the bio that you provided.

He was never full power against Trunks. What is your argument?

If that's the case, then yeah it's already implied in the manga. Trunks tells both Freeza and Cold to go all out against him at once, so he is certainly >> both of them.

Yeah, what Evil Vegeta said. Look at the line:

"Through mechanization, he had obtained even more gigantic power, but he is completely powerless before Super Saiyan Trunks"

This says that even so Freeza's power is even greater, it is still powerless against SSJ Trunks, that is, it doesn't matter that Freeza is more powerful, it won't do any good against Trunks.

I think it's a bit pointless to say he is completely powerless before SSJ Trunks in the context of him becoming even more powerful if it's referenced only to his suppressed state.

Well they are factually incorrect. As I mentioned, Trunks asks Freeza and Cold to come at him with all they have, and is still confident.

I remember when there were quite a few people who said Mecha Freeza at full-power was above Trunks. Don't hear it as much nowadays. Maybe they changed their minds.

I've never bought the idea that full power mecha furiza is stronger than namek goku anyway.

The dude can't sense chi. He thinks with a power increase he can probably beat goku. But he has no idea really.

Mecha Freeza felt that he could go in alone and fight someone of Namek Goku's level, but he also brought King Cold just in case. This implies that he isn't completely certain about whether or not he could actually defeat him -so at best, he is probably around Namek Goku's battle power, but slightly weaker.
