I thought of this topic all on my own.

Specifically the characters involved with the parts of the series that are of this topic title's genres.

Which can you think of? Name them and maybe name the characters. That's literally the only purpose of this topic.

Gintama: Shinsengumi mains (Hijikata, Sougo, Kondo). Gintoki also knows Katsura, if he counts as a main (almost all the characters with lots of appearances are like mains to me, for this show). Gintama is mostly not of the title's genres though.

Blue Exorcist: Two main characters are brothers

FMAB: Elric brothers

Yu Yu Hakusho: Main guy in the green shirt and main guy in the blue jacket.

Naruto: don't think Sasuke/Sakura/Naruto knew each other enough. Just putting it here because it might come up and I disagree.

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s IIRC had a Hokuto no Ken thing going-on, where the main-character & the other gai where childhood friends pre-series but then he backstabbed MC and betrayed him for power & riches.

& the not-rival but Jounouchi-like character also were childhood friends, so Yugi/Kaiba/Jounouchi characters were childhood friends and others knew each-other too since they grew-up in poverty.
