Wasn't Trunks impressed by Piccolo's gained from ROSAT's training? I don't think that was in the manga but still means something.

Honestly, that filler really is an oddball, even by filler standards. Trunks is able to see Piccolo's GAINZ whilst Vegeta doesn't, despite Vegeta being far more experienced?

Only way to explain it is Vegeta just being in denial.

I think it's pretty clear that Vegeta was just attempting to condescend with Piccolo. Trunks, who has no reasons to fake reactions, notices he has changed a lot, so obviously the "no change at all" can't work coming from a guy slightly stronger than Trunks.

It's worth noting in that filler though that once Vegeta got into the room he only voices his displeasure at Kakarotto and focuses entirely on him in regards to setting his training goal. I think Vegeta would show more of a concern and anger towards Piccolo if he had reached that range Goku showed previously, no?

But yeah, that's filler, so it isn't that meaningful. But consider it if you feel like it tho, I've no problems either way.

Yeah, I take it Vegeta just being a dick but Trunks confirmed Piccolo had an impressive gained abd I don't think being weaker than #16 is impressive at all.

Then again, this is just a filler. :toei
