The main problem with the 10x multiplier is the fact that Trunks still needs SSJin to destroy Future #17 and 18, and the base kids at most rival Present #18 even taking into consideration the mighty mask suit.

It probably goes back to 50x by that time or something. Multipliers are basically as big as the plot needs them to be.

The 50x multiplier was actually quite consistent unless taking account the heavily debateable Boo arc Base Saiyans > Shin > Piccolo implications.

And tbh, if you want humans as close to Base Saiyans as possible than, if anything a 50x multipliers works better. It's made evident that Freeza is still a god compared to the Android arc Earthlings, and the only statement they have is Gero believing he can take on SSJ Vegeta after absorbing their ki along with Gohan and Piccolo's but that is honestly flimsy for a number of reasons, especially since Yamcha's energy didn't seem to do anything for him.
