I never liked that Base Gohan vs SSJ Trunks scene. It is one of those few scenes I really disliked from the story. I liked the idea of Super Saiyan being only attainable at that level. Especially considering how difficult it was for Vegeta even though he was in the millions. This is a part of the story I end up rewriting in my own head.

Similar thing with Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 in the Buu Saga. I generally just fill in the blanks to make it work. Also, I generally let the History of Trunks supersede the manga here, Trunks attaining Super Saiyan was so much more epic, it just doesn't make sense to go the AT route. AT should have just copied what they did. This was as good as the Bardock story and should have been canon except.

No, what for? I think AT"s vision of Super Saiyan ( " I drew it like a 10x boost ) played a factor here. As a 10x boost, it's somewhat reasonable, as a 50x boost, it fucking blows. But that's just my opinion.
