They all are very strong. They are all somewhere in the vicinity of Goku's own base power. Goku is probably impressed by their power all things considered. Massive leaps of power. Super Saiyan is all that is going to cut it, everyone knows it, they just are in pseudo denial, Goku doesn't have to berate their inability at all times like Vegeta does.

Yeah, like P said I don't think Goku has to be a dick with the humans like Vegeta is. Piccolo asked for his opinion about his chances against Cell, so that situation isn't all that comparable.

On a side note, Goku was excited with the idea of Yajirobe joining the fight and was like "wtf, aren't you joining?" when Yajirobe declined lol.

Goku patronizes them a lot. Which is why Piccolo also tells Goku not to, which is why Goku was so blunt. Goku tries to be positive and inspirational most of the time.

They're nowhere near the Base Saiyans. Piccolo told the humans they'd be utterly useless more than once, so Goku not objecting right away means little to me. Suppressed Piccolo is enough to whip the humans into shape, and he's massively implied by Gero to be weaker than Base Vegeta.

Base Vegeta > Suppressed Piccolo > Gohan > humans

One less background character to draw reactions from. None of the humans stood any type of chance. The only big surprise is that piccolo was strong enough to fight them.

Goku was incredibly blunt when vegeta and piccolo ask, but he isn't an asshole otherwise. He doesn't tell the humans not to show up to the cell game either, despite everyone knowing they were useless.

Android 20's ability to quantify the Z senshi's power level shouldn't be taken very seriously. He's pretty much wrong about every assessment he makes.

He's flabbergasted that he was being beat when he thought he was already stronger before absorbing piccolo's energy, yet his comments about adding everyone's power together is taken as gospel.

Nothing suggests his ability to detect powers below him are compromised though. What he cannot do is judge the powers so much higher than he anticipated. He does not realize just how much more superior the Super Saiyans actually are. But he should be able to tell that Suppressed Piccolo ~ Humans in my opinion. But you are right, it doesn't have to be taken as gospel.

Haha BPP, my idea of "realm" here, is taken a page from the Freeza Saga. Compare the Base Saiyans to everyone else, clearly they are on astronomically different levels. But if you are 10-15% of a Base Saiyan at these elite levels, it's impressive no?

As you can see, this is still somewhat in the realm of a BASE FUCKING SAIYAN. Krillen being 25% of Base Fucking Vegeta is insane. That is highly respectable wouldn't you agree?

Also, let's not forget that these are new and improved Base Saiyans. Base Saiyan Goku/Vegeta on Namek would not be Gods to this crew me thinks.

So that's why I think Namek Base Saiyan level is where the Humans top out. And that level is ultra impressive.
