andromon did seem to do well against piemon iirc, but how do u think he powered-up (if u can & want to answer)? jst a plot-convenient power-up (if u can & want to answer)?

Piemon openly said the longer you are in a stage (Megas in his case), the stronger you get through experience. WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon got one-shotted by Piemon in their first fight, and did far better in the rematches. Andromon would've stayed in Ultimate form for years and years due to time dilation while the chosen children were fighting Vamdemon in the real world, so it makes sense that he's stronger.

Why would it only be for the final stage? If you want another example, look how well Tailmon did against the other chosen Digimon when they fought. She was likely in Champion form far longer (having already reached her Tailmon stage before meeting Wizarmon), and she didn't have a type advantage like Angemon typically does against enemy Digimon. There's also Paildramon and Silphymon appearing to do better against Archenemon and Mummymon than early on, and doing better against BlackWarGreymon too by the time of their final fight (as Ultimates) than in early battles where Paildramon literally shot BWG with a point blank Desperado Blaster and it did nothing, while BWG clearly took damage from Silphymon and Paildramon when they teamed up with Shakkoumon, as well as in a few other instances where he got pushed back by a combination of the chosen children's attacks. All despite the fact that he easily dismantled a herd of 20 Mammothmon (Ultimates in their own right).

i think i see even-tho i got to re-watch digimon-adventure-02 to remember

tailmon also said she had a diff. level of discipline than other digimon when they asked why she was still adult-level, which i assume means she doesn't always go-back to child-level like other digimon so she got used to always staying at adult-level that that's normal for here

Yeah she was trained harder by Vamdemon than other children's Digimon, who only digivolved temporarily and beat up equivalent stage Digimon through cheap power ups with their Digivices. Makes sense that Andromon's activities as a member of the Digimon Resistance against the Dark Masters powered him up. Andromon also appeared to have better feats than the possessed MetalGreymon in 02, even though MetalGreymon was preferred over SkullGreymon even though both were Virus-types.
