And the only one he treated worthy of needing BEUD against was Yami Yugi. I'm not saying BEUD isn't stronger stat-wise. Even Kaiba says this in his duel with Yugi after the God Cards destroy themselves. But BEUD is a vanilla fusion while Obelisk has immunity to practically everything, hence why Kaiba's Battle City deck revolved around him while keeping the Blue-Eyes cards as a backup. Obelisk was more of a surefire win condition than BEWD/BEUD.
