Well, in the Boo saga at least it wasn't implied to be... As Vegeta commented in his body aspects, while Trunks distinctly commented on not sensing that energy from Gohan, which is different... And would be better worded by Vegeta were this the case with Gohan there.

“Ki doesn’t atrophy” is something someone said once in the forums and now it’s a headcanon that always shows up every once in a while. Good luck debunking stuff that comes out of nowhere.

Gohan at least has the Daizenshuu 2, but I don’t really care about the Daizenshuu right now.
