Any-one else find it kind-of hard to read the fights?

I don't know maybe it's just me but I'm done with the Arlong-Park fights right-now in the manga and it's sometimes hard to tell the transition from panel to panel. Like sometimes they don't make sense to me. As an example of what I just saw. Arlong when getting stomped through the building by Luffy was face down, but when he's shown defeated just a few panels later he's face-up. It's kind-of hard to visualise a moving battle for me.

EDIT: Just looked again but Arlong initially seems to get stomped face down but a few panels later still in action he's shown getting stomped from the stomach instead of the back.

Not really. Maybe more so at the beginning, but the art gradually improves and becomes easier to understand.

That's good to know. :nice :nice :nice

But then again he isn't as lazy as AT, so he wants to get in as much as possible probably and has to draw 20 pages on average for a chapter.

Indeed.

Also the art style at the beginning of the manga is without a doubt far more cartoony than it is a bit further in. Indo recall sharing the same sentiments on my first read but it will get better. At least you have seen the anime a long time a go so you'll still know what's going on more or less. Alo are you reading the colour version? I cant recall

Initial I read the normal version but the translation wasn't any good. Some person in the comment section kept saying to read the digitally coloured version but I didn't know where until sometime later someone asked him where that was and he said it was also on the side, then I switched-over to the coloured.

The coloured is goat. Also I recall most fanslation sites were awful at times until the end of skypiea but it does get better. Viz is obviously the true translation but there no full color

Yeah, coloured is gr9. Colours are really vibrant. Makes the early story look HD, even-though the anime was still SD at that point.

sometimes yes. The last big fight in the manga especially was a mess to read.

Can agree with that ^. I'm interested to check out the anime version after you said it was superior.

A-lot of moments were done kewler/better in the anime but I can only speak for the early part.

I agree with you. I find it hard to depict in some moments. I think the amount of characters and detail put by Oda are the main reasons. I prefer a cleaner art like Toriyama's, but that's just me.

Yeah sometimes it's even hard to tell what's going-on in a panel or a character's ecpression from far away but I don't think that's a bad thing. Just different. I think it takes a-lot more effort and talent to draw those detailed panels than not so I can appreciate that.
