Oh jeez, I wanna say Aoshi but I honestly can't remember how strong these guys got.

They both won similarly against equal opponents at the end of the manga. If anything Saito was implied to be stronger, but his guy may have been slightly easier to kill.

Aoshi's style might work rather well against Saito's, unless they changed up their styles and I just forgot. Anyway, we should just wait for CC, he seems to have the answer for everything :et

I'd probably say Aoshi, seeing as how he was placed against far more impressive opponents (eg. Kenshin using his best ougi to defeat him and Gein having far better feats than the rest of Enishi's allies), plus Aoshi seemed to last a little longer against Shishio than Saito did.

Did Aoshi manage to push Kenshin into Battosai form? I can't recall.

Can't recall off-hand, though considering his training with Seijuro and his new ougi basically being >> Battousai mode based on the hype, it's safe to say Aoshi equalling him is as good a feat as Saitou pushing him into Battousai mode.

Ah, I think you're right. That was when he gained the Battosai power in his standard Kenshin form, iirc. I could see Aoshi having a slight lead over Saito now.

Pre-training Aoshi would lose considering Saito was hyped as being above any opponent Kenshin faced since settling down in the Kamiya dojo, post-training Aoshi would probably win high-diff.
