Are Boo saga Goku SSJ2 and Majin Vegeta far stronger than kid Gohan?

Damn it, EV covered it first again. Anyway, Piccolo could barely tell the difference between Vegeta and Gohan, so it's pretty small. 15% stronger at best.

It make Piccolo seems unreliable like Kuririn was when he couldn't tell Evil Boo was superior to SSJ Gotenks. The Boo Arc wasn't nice to the two of them.

Nah, that's too convenient. That's also a lot more than just a little memory loss. He'd have to almost completely forgotten about Kid Gohan's power if he was that off.

That's why it's best to take both statements into consideration. Vegeta says Goku is stronger, so we know for sure that Goku>Gohan. Outside of that, there's no way to determine how much stronger he is than Kid Gohan. To me, Piccolo's statement serves as the outlier to show that Vegeta isn't far above Kid Gohan. Stronger, yes, but not by a wide margin.

Based on my Super Saiyan 2 chart, Vegeta is a lot weaker than Super Saiyan 2 Goku's Burst, which I have inferior to Super Saiyan 2 Kid Gohan by a good amount. That would at least make the Majin power-up pretty significant.

He wouldn't have completely forgotten though. He wouldn't just remember where Gohan's powers specifically stacked, but he is still more or less on point with the range. I am not arguing for a multifold difference or so, more for a 1.2~1.3x. I think it's accetable for someone who hasn't feel Gohan by seven years to not be completely sure whether someone 1.3x stronger than Gohan indeed is stronger than him.

If Piccolo was unsure because the gap is small, shouldn't Vegeta be unsure too? Vegeta doesn't show uncertaintity when Goku wasn't even fighting, and we know fighting chi > standing chi. If Piccolo isn't completely sure whether Majin Vegeta is stronger or not than SSJ2 kid Gohan, when Vegeta is fighting yet Vegeta is sure Goku > Gohan when the former isn't even fighting, I can only conclude Vegeta is a bit more on point with kid Gohan's power than Piccolo is.

Those are fair points. Piccolo seemed surprised that Boo was able to kill Gohan and questioned how strong Boo really was right after. Makes me wonder if he was unable to tell Teen Gohan was a lot weaker based on what he sensed at the Budokai.

Vegeta was obsessive with how he compared with Goku and Gohan, while Piccolo doesn't care nearly as much. That probably explains the difference in their statements.

That's a great point. Vegeta immediately noticed that Gohan was weaker than he was as a kid, while you have Goku asking Gohan if he kept up with his training right before fighting Dabra. Goku didn't realize Gohan had gotten weaker until he watched the fight with Dabra.

So yeah, Vegeta's attention to detail regarding Gohan surely outstrips everyone else's.
