Are Boo saga Goku SSJ2 and Majin Vegeta far stronger than kid Gohan?

Doesn't this leave room for Majin Vegeta to be considerably stronger than kid Gohan?

I think this means the opposite. Someone prideful like Vegeta wouldn't admit just barely surpassing someone, while Piccolo has no feelings interfering in that.

Being perfectly honest, yes and no.

Vegeta's certainty on the matter definitely means they're both above Kid Gohan. The real question is by how much? That seems almost impossible to determine.

Piccolo's statement isn't as certain as Vegeta's, yes, but the takeaway is that the 2 Saiyans are more than likely not far stronger than Kid Gohan. Fairly stronger is definitely possible. A bit stronger is definitely possible.

If Goku was 12 and Gohan was 11, would Vegeta make note of Goku surpassing him? Maybe, maybe not. If Goku was 20 and Gohan was 14, would Vegeta make note of Goku surpassing him? Hell yeah.

So really, it comes down to whether you think Vegeta would bother to note Goku was stronger than Gohan if he was marginally stronger or not. To me, Vegeta's an all or nothing kinda guy. If you're inferior, then he'll say as much. If you're nearly as strong as him, he'll say as much. If you're more powerful than him, he'll say as much. I can see Vegeta and Piccolo's statement coexisting without an issue.

It could be interpreted that way, but I see it as Vegeta's obsession of it making him comment on any power difference at all, no matter how little, as the bottom line is, they're both stronger than Gohan. I can see where you're coming from though.

He isn't comparing himself to Gohan though, he is comparing Goku to Gohan. His statement is clearly towards Goku, so his pride doesn't need to be put in check here. What Ryan means is that Piccolo's uncertaintity could easily be due to this latter not being so "on point" about Gohan's powers like Vegeta is, hence why they both show different expressions regarding a comparison between Goku/Majin Vegeta and Gohan. This honestly gives more room for both Goku and Vegeta to be more than just slightly stronger than kid Gohan.

I thought you agreed with Ryan's and mine line of thinking, to which Piccolo's uncertaintity doesn't serve to build the gap, but to show Piccolo isn't so on point regarding Gohan's strength like Vegeta is. I mean, you even said Vegeta's attention regarding Gohan's powers outstrips everyone else's, which is why Vegeta is more certain about Son Goku's advantage over kid Gohan.

Both Piccolo and Goku doesn't seem to note immediately how much Gohan has weakened over those seven years like Vegeta did, to which could explain why the Namekian isn't so much certain about Vegeta's advantage over his pupil... his memory is just fading away and he doesn't have a so precise viewpoint on kid Gohan like Vegeta does.

I do agree. I'm just saying Piccolo's statement makes it so they can't be too far ahead. At least I think it does. I feel like it'd be kinda unnecessary to just discard the entire statement. Vegeta's insight is more precise, but Piccolo's statement seems good enough to put them in the same league.

Like Evil Vegeta, i don't think Piccolo's statement should be disregarded.
