Are Broly's attacks actually...different from one another?

Looking back at the Broly movies and his appearances in video games, I never got the impression that his attacks really differed all that much. All of his Chi-attacks appear to be that green fireball he does, but they're given different names. When I look Broly's Eraser Cannon/Blaster Shell and Gigantic Meteor/Omega Blaster, they don't really seem that different. I guess the main difference with Gigantic Meteor/Omega Blaster is that it turns into a huge fireball and can be powered-up with more Chi-attacks.

So are his techniques supposed to be variations of each other, or am I not understanding?

No. All his attacks are equally MAXIMUM.
