Goku's advantage over Kid Gohan wasn't that great considering Piccolo's comment. Considering SSJg2 Vegeta dominated full power Semi Cell (who was considerable stronger than his SSJ), Gohan SSJg2 should win without problems imo.

I believe that SSJG2 was a transformation used to tap into a dormant power of a Super Saiyan through unnatural means while MSSJ training enabled Super Saiyans to tap into a greater level of dormant power.

SSJG2 was a temporary and inefficient way for untrained Super Saiyans to access more of their potential and since that was easily attained through MSSJ training, then I don't believe SSJG2 would provide Gohan with any power boost at all. It'd only strain Gohan and potentially hinder his speed, so Buu Arc Goku would win here.

Cell was able to recreate the transformation though, so I have a feeling it would still add power to Gohan even if he has already mastered SSJ. After all, it is simply just pumping up your muscles. Grade 2 also is not said to lower speed, just Grade 3.

Cell's isn't necessarily a forced transformation whereas SSJG2 is. They have similarities, but each state is obtained through different means.

I was merely implying that if Gohan doesn't receive a boost in Ki, than the bulky muscles could very well hinder his speed. The state that untrained SSJ does boost speed, but the increase in Ki easily outweighs the increase in muscle mass whereas in my mind, MSSJins don't get that increase in Ki which would result in a decrease in speed since they lack the boost in Ki to outweigh the boost in muscle mass.
