Popeye goes from wall level to Large Star level through his spinach, as well as granting him flight, some level of invulnerability and regeneration, fourth wall breaking (to some extent) and resistance to reality warping (ie. Dragon Balls) and erasure (ie. Hakai). Roshi would likely get the same boost, so he'd be about MSSJ tier or so.
- Roshi stomps Goku at the 21st TB.
- Roshi solos the Red Ribbon Army. Goku still continues searching for the Dragon Balls and training, climbing Karin's tower and going on his training journey soon after whilst Yamcha and Kuririn train with Roshi. Their gains would be no different from the main timeline due to Roshi not using the spinach unnecessarily and also wanting to train to not fully rely on it. Taopaipai is never hired by Red, so he stays intact and Bora remains alive.
- Roshi stomps Ten at the 22nd TB and his lectures cause Ten to defect from Tsuru Sennin far earlier. The finals is Roshi VS Goku, which Roshi easily wins. With the Budokai being far shorter, Tambourine isn't around when Kuririn retrieves the Nyoi-bo.
- When Tambourine shows up, Roshi beats him up but lets him escape to track down Daimao. He then kills Daimao, so no Piccolo, Kami or the Dragon Balls. The training of the main cast is the same, with their desire being to reach Roshi's level. Roshi trains as well due to having no need to retire.
- The 23rd TB has no stakes and ends with Roshi easily beating Goku.
- Roshi basically solos the Saiyan Arc and likely kills Vegeta due to the threat he poses on the galaxy if left unchecked.
- The cast never go to Namek. Instead, Freeza invades Earth after realising some backwater planet was able to dispose of Vegeta. Roshi solos Freeza's army, as well as Cold if he shows up.
- Assuming Goku got the heart virus from Yardrat, he's fine. Otherwise, he dies. In either case #17 and #18 show up, but Roshi destroys both (though "destroys" #18 in a very different sense

). There is no need to build the Time Machine.
- Roshi kills Dabura and Babidi 7 years later, preventing Boo's revival.
Basically, he'd solo all threats up to Beerus who may prove a challenge normally. However, I believe the knowledge that such power as his spinach self could be achieved would serve in much the same way as Goku and Kuririn striving to new heights inspired him to come out of retirement, so he'd be as strong as his ToP self at least at the start of Super. With the spinach, he'd stomp Beerus and Whis and would also gain some level of UI like his manga counterpart, meaning he wouldn't need Whis' training. Without Future Trunks' timeline or Goku becoming so well known in the Multiverse and instead, Roshi being viewed as terrifying for beating both Beerus and Whis, Zamasu never even attempts to enact the Zero Mortal Plan and the Future Trunks Arc doesn't happen.
