Base Future Trunks strength

Cell stated "You have gotten a lot stronger..." after getting blown away from the city by base Trunks' kiai. If one interpret it literally, it could indicate Trunks >>/>>> SSJ Trunks (Mecha Freeza saga) - considering Cell has data of him.

He could be, but like I said if one is taking that literally he would be referring to Trunks at full power (base Trunks isn't indicative of that).

He's around the Future Androids in his base form I think. Also, if Cell was comparing Trunks in similar forms, then I think he should've been able to tell that he was going to be easily beat by Trunks. I think SSJ Trunks (Mecha) < Base Trunks (Future) is a fair assumption.

He doesn't have to be stronger than SSJ Trunks (Mecha), but my gaps put him 5x stronger than that in Base form.

Was Cell confident against Trunks? Maybe he thought he would be fighting Base Trunks, unless Cell had knowledge about SSJ, in which case he should've known he was screwed either way.

He said that he knows all about Trunks and how he's no match for the cyborgs from the data gathered by spy robots, and we know Trunks was a Super Saiyan whenever he got his ass kicked. Cell seemed like he was in denial much like the other times he was badly outclassed.

Not sure how strong Base Trunks is. I'll just say way stronger than his Base level was before leaving for the past.

It doesn't really mean anything other than Trunks has improved from what Cell expected.
There is no comparison with his SSJ strength, but if that feat of blowing away suppressed Cell in his Base form really meant anything, Cell probably wouldn't be so confident in beating Trunks.
