Dabura is the one who expressed that Yakon would kill the Saiyans quickly. Babidi was the one who claimed that they needed to be cautious. Babidi was clearly concerned and he was only evaluating their power based on Vegeta's raw performance rather than a power device. It was a rough estimate on Babidi's part here.

That still leads back to what I said before. Babidi and Dabura didn't gauge their powers. They estimated Yakon could defeat them but it's not a concrete evaluation. It's similar to what Cell thought when he saw Gohan obliterate the Cell Jrs. He didn't sense Gohan's power and evaluate his superiority based on that because that'd be a contradiction. Cell believed he was stronger than Gohan based on Gohan's raw performance and what Cell personally thought he was capable of.
