BelialVamdemon vs Apocalymon

I think Apocalymon is stronger going by him tearing the dimension asunder just by being released whereas BelialVamdemon had to tap into the power of the Digital World's darkness to do it, but Apocalymon seems like a glass cannon what with how the previous generation of DigiDestined prior to the Adventure squad defeated him and he had his main body destroyed by two regular Megas and his tentacles destroyed by Ultimates who were far weaker than him. By comparison even before absorbing the darkness of the Digital World BelialVamdemon endured a massive barrage of attacks and even a Double Positron Laser from completely jacked up Digimon.

So, overall it's hard to say. I'd give it to giant BelialVamdemon probably, because aside from self destructing I don't know what Apocalymon can do to hurt him to any notable extent.

He doesn't have the attacks of enemies that came after him like BlackWarGreymon or BelialVamdemon, Demon etc. The most powerful attacks he'd have are things like MugenDramon's cannons and Piemon's attacks, which are far from adequate to kill BelialVamdemon if the same power boost that allowed ExVeemon to land some hits on Megas couldn't power up two Imperialdramon forms to the extent that they could oneshot an already injured BelialVamdemon. Vamdemon in his final form is a tank.

Yeah. He used Vamdemon's bloody stream and some other enemies' final attacks including Mugendramon's cannon blast, but they weren't beyond Mega level or anything, barely enough to seriously hurt Ultimates.

HolyAngemon was there, but he couldn't really do anything because Apocalymon was either immune to his Heaven's Gate or too big to fit inside lol.

holyangemon casually avoided piemon's key-chan trick (not that that doesn't look easily but apparently other perfect-level digimon couldn't) & easily took-back every-1, even with-out that holyangemon is amazingly powerful i think.

HolyAngemon cut up Piemon's handkerchief trick and then cut him (probably with the handkerchief blocking Piemon's line of sight). It proves he's a very strong Ultimate but doesn't prove he is high Mega level. In terms of hand to hand combat I'd say he's Pinnochimon's level or so. Let's not forget he chose to give his power to Imperialdramon rather than battle SkullSatamon even with Angewomon backing him up

holyangemon got to be higher than that i think. pinnochimon is way too low i think. metaletemon was on-par or so with pinnochimon iirc i think i think. i do wonder tho why holyangemon was struggling with blackwargreymon. did wargreymon get higher by digimon-adventure-02 or some-thing (if i can ask)? not that blackwargreymon is exactly equal to wargreymon but still i think.

Well a lot of that could be attributed to the fact that Digimon power chains aren't that terribly consistent, Togemon for example fought an Ultimate and won in her first appearance, yet needed to go Ultimate herself just to beat a Champion like DarkTyrannomon

WarGreymon fought Apocalymon and then multiple Diablomon after battling Piemon, and possibly also gained experience from the battles Agumon had in his lower forms in 02. Maybe he caught up to Piemon's level by 02? Who knows. I still think that HolyAngemon is overrated in pure physical prowess, he didn't choose to confront SkullSatamon (a high-ass tier Ultimate but not a Mega) and Piemon didn't show any signs of injury from what HolyAngemon did to his stomach. If HolyAngemon was solidly Mega tier I'd also imagine he'd have attacked Apocalymon's main body rather than just opening Heavens Gate.

that's possible. i remember taichi saying they all got higher in early dark-masters saga i think, but then in the end jo said something like they still needed to evolve to win to which i think (i'm not exactly sure i can't remember right-now) taichi said maybe there's more to evolution or something like that, which might imply they didn't actually get higher & taichi was jst thinking that since he thought that's what piccolomon meant or something i think

holyangemon was taking every-one from piemon so i don't knw whether he tried to out-right defeat him there (maybe he did tho)
