Makes sense, but I don't recall them mentioning a drop in Kid Boo's ki from his Buff counterpart, which could lead one to believe that Buff = Kid or even Kid > Buff, but that doesn't make much sense when you take into account characters like Gotenks and Gohan.

Buff-Boo is when Super-Boo was still changing from having everyone taken-out of him. He appeared that way very shortly and Goku commented that his power was going-up, when he turned into Kid-Boo his Ki was said to be down from before.

Goku said "We did it!" when he dropped to Kid Boo. That strongly implies he was a lot weaker.

He's definitely weaker going from Gohan-Boo to Normal Super-Boo, but IIRC only once Kid-Boo was shows was it implied that he's become even weaker. I think I remember, Goku even says something like we still can't handle him now when he was just normal Super-Boo or something. Maybe I'm remembering wrong.

I think it's because the scene was just pretty odd in general. Removing Gohan and the others weakened Boo right off the bat, but removing Mr. Boo started a whole new transformation. The scene just doesn't make much sense when you think about it.

That's why I just look at Goku's reaction to Kid Boo. He was shitting himself when Boo's Chi started going up, yet was relieved when he dropped down to Kid Boo. If Kid Boo still retained all of the power he just had a page or so ago, I can't imagine Goku being excited about that. Also, before they fight Kid Boo on Kaioshin's world, Goku thinks it wouldn't be fair to merge because Boo is no longer being powered-up by any absorption's.

But, in order for that to work, you'd need Kid Boo and SSJ3 Goku above Ultimate Gohan, Super Bewb and Gohan, and that's crazy.
