Which style do you guys prefer? At first I've been going the former, but I've had this issue where sometimes it's hard to tell what's going on in certain panels due to the high amount of detail so I switch to colored around the Skypiea arc (even then it's hard lol).

Definitely prefer the coloured version so long as the translation is decent. At times it can be downright awful.

In the case of One Piece, I prefer the colored due to visuals and the black and white due to the generally more accurate translations. The speech bubbles in the colored version were getting too small on my phone, but still it was way easier to tell what was happening amidst the panels. I am of currently reading one volume in black and white and then the other volume in the colored version, as to balance things since both have their advantages lol.

Full color for sure assuming the translations are equally good. Much easier to follow in the cases of series like One Piece and JoJo (esp. Part 6 and onward) where the overly detailed and cluttered art and composition of panels make it hard to make out what's going on, and that takes away from the entertainment value of the story. I probably couldn't have finished Steel Ball Run if not for the full color scans. It took me ages to get past Skypiea and Thriller Bark on my first readthrough as well (in black and white).

Definitely full colour due t the far greater clarity, though I do appreciate some touches present in the black and white version such as how Shanks is one of the few characters Oda consistently uses grey tones for when inking him.
