In Japanese he says "He has powers far above his ability..." which is likely referring to the potential unlock.

How does Goku know it's above Spopovich's ability though? He couldn't sense Spopovich's chi and didn't know how strong Spopovich was before. Goku would have likely seen some things that weren't in sync there to come to that conclusion.

He probably inferred it from his ability to fly and shoot ki blasts. He knew he couldn't do that before.

Spopovich's natural abilities were below Videl's, but the power of the Majin charm far exceeded that. That's what Goku is talking about.

I suppose they both fit into the broad category of baseline super strength, firmly distinct from standard human conditioning. Goku could push him back and potentially make him look silly with conventional fighting, but I'm not convinced he wins that way. Spopovitch likely wears him down over time, unless Goku has a piercing weapon and a stroke of luck.

Why would Goku need a piercing weapon? The Majin charm doesn't give you any haxed durability or make you unkillable by conventional means.

SSJ2 Goku and Majin Vegeta were equal and took equal damage from their fight to the point where it was enough to awaken Majin Boo.

Videl broke Spopovich's neck, sure but he was surpressed which was why he was able to snap it back. If someone truly stronger than him broke his neck it would have stayed broken.

@Animelover5487 Having your neck twisted around and popping it back in place constitutes normal durability? I'm curious how you came to that conclusion. Onlookers were freaked out by that occurrence at large.

I'm sceptical about how relevant Vegeta is to the situation. Not only was his fight cut short, but it's doubtful that Goku was aiming to fight with such excessive brutality.

@Spiral-Force They are freaked out because they are normal humans. If Videl did that to any of them they would have just died instantly.

Goku loves the thrill of fighting, especially strong opponents. He wasn't holding back at all and like I said, he still fought Vegeta with enough brutality to cause enough damage to Awaken Majin Boo. Both were beaten and scratched up signifying a hard and brutal fight.

Videl didn't want to use excessive force either as she wasn't trying to kill Spopovich. She didn't mean to break his neck, he just held back so much.

It wasn't just the regular humans that reacted that way. What Spopo did certainly isn't commonplace in Dragon Ball combat. I'd go a step further and say there's no comparable instance of another human doing something like this, without at least being seen as an oddball themselves.

I don't deny the high intensity nature of M. Vegeta vs Goku, however there was no alarming injury of similar fashion to make a clear comparison.

I'd disagree about the Videl situation, but can understand if you take a different view. The reason I don't agree is because she didn't internalize the idea of going too far, she was just shocked that he was still in fighting condition. I suppose she had no choice but for desperate measures at that stage, given her low stamina and Spopo turning the tables.

Mach 17 He seemed to go quicker and further than 22nd Tien could. Maybe a better flyer than 23rd Budokai Piccolo (can't remember how Piccolo travelled back then).
