I'm kinda sick of seeing this, so i wanna know where everyone stands & an absolute no BS reason as to why.

1. DOES MOVIE scale higher than the MAIN STORY ????

I'm not using his videos as proof or simply going by "because Seth said so". That would be purely "head canon".
I'm using his videos as evidence showing the differences between the main storylines & movies & how movies >>>> main storylines in terms of power scaling & how Full Powered PerfectCell or Dabura would not be stronger than movie characters at that particular timeline, backed with a solid explanation as to why.

2. We are all here aware of this right ????

I take the movies as “stories in a different dimension from the main story of the comic”. I’m entirely just an audience member for them.

So to be absolutely clear THIS IS MOVIE vs MAIN STORY!
MOVIE scaling vs MAIN STORY scaling.

3. Who do you believe wins, MOVIE BROLY or MAIN STORY FULL POWERED PERFECT CELL ?

And please be honest, please set aside your pride & select one you believe would defeat the other.


To be absolutely clear.
The movies are an alternate, inaccurate, representation of the official material.

There is absolutely no reason the benchmarks for the movies like vegeta, trunks being Room Of Spirit & Time 1 level would be the same as the official source material Vegeta & Trunks at that level.

There is absolutely no reason why it has to follow the same logic when it comes to power scaling as to what's applied to the official source material.
Thinking the movies do or believing they should be simply because that's the only line of logic that should be applied to any & all things representing the DragonBall Universe.

That's head-canon.

That's the problem people have with Broly.
That's the problem people have with the DragonBall SUPER anime.

It screws with some sense of power scaling logic that fans have the idea of Akira Toriyama putting in place which shouldn't be messed with otherwise anything else is inferior to the official material.

That's a defensive reaction.
I get the same way when it comes to comic book/manga going live-action sloppily put together by hollywood.
I used to screamed where's the accuracy, stay true to the material. And if you can't or don't want to remain true to the source material then don't bother making it.

Now i just go in with low expectations because Dude it is what it is, the face value of the movies are what they are. Judge them on their own merit.

If Movie8 portrayed Broly as saiyan that eats the sun with two scoops of raisins, then o'well.

I do have Broly winning this, but only barely. I think Goku at the least is his 100% Cell Games power, regardless of how poorly it made him look.

Cell stomps IMO. The movies follow a progressive logic of the next villian always surpassing the former, so Bojack, who was one shoted by the same Gohan who did not one shot Cell, is stronger than Broly. At the end, Broly gets raped.

Cell wins. His final power up and the Z Warriors reaction shows Cell was hiding too much power. Basically, anything Broly did, power wise, Cell can do it better.

This is the same as the Marvel Cinematic Universe vs the actual Comic Books, Akira Toriyama's own set logic of PowerScaling he created for the DragonBall Universe verses Takao Koyama's exaggerated concept of PowerScaling.

So please be absolutely honestly, does it simply boil down to a dislike of Broly & the idea that anything that isn't Akira Toriyama's is automatically seen as inferior ?

Okay So Why though, Why is it Barely & Why is Goku from an alternate dimension in Movie8 only 100% Cell Games power ?

Well, I match up the clothing of the fighters in M8 with what they wore in the manga, and it's post RoSaT clothing. Also considering Gohan was SSJ, it's clear he and Goku finished their training, so I have Goku at his manga Cell Games level. It takes place in the 10 day wait for the Cell Games, so I don't see why he'd be stronger than that.

I have Broly only a little above Cell via my personal scaling. Broly tanked a well charged KHH from Goku (who you could argue was somewhat weakened at the time), and I believe Cell at his full power could do similar.
