I don't see anything contradicting the multiple interviews and staff statements claiming Kuririn as the strongest earthling.

I appreciate the possibility of canon claiming Krillin as the strongest, but Roshi out performed him in FnF and ToP. I’ll take Roshi all day.

Outperformed? Bitch, please. Kuririn beat guys that were giving #18 a hard time, and beforehand clashed with a SSJB Goku KHH.
Roshi's claim to fame is beating a few U2 fodder and failing to do anything to Frost without Vegeta's help, even his mafuba failed miserably lol!
