Oh my oh my. It's perfect on all levels. I was worried about initial Battle Damaged Vegeta. But he fits perfectly.

Wow, I'm stunned.

Obviously this incorporates Gohan being retconned to being only a Super Saiyan at the Budokai, but it works. The retcon is supported by Super and GT by the way.

Shouldn't initial Boo be stronger than that? Gohan claims he should be able to manage something if he could put forth his true power. I've always taken that to mean if Gohan can put out his Cell Games level of power, as that is exactly what Goku told him to do by getting angry.

Yes you are right it should be the Cg level he is talking about not just SSJ2

He says something like “it’s not like there’s nothing I could do…”. Doesn’t sound like it’s going to be an easy fight right?

Vegeta bursts into laughter when he hears Boo. I don’t think he’s Kid Gohan level. Maybe Pre Majin Vegeta level.

Or it could be a question as to whether or not he can get mad as that is an inherent struggle for him throughout the arc.

He has to slaughter him. Battle Damaged Vegeta can’t be anywhere close to Kid Gohan and he’s laughing Buu’s power off.

Kid Gohan is at least at a 90, if not greater. He's supposed to be close to Vegeta. Kid Gohan has only been far surpassed once Majin Buu powers up further and trounces Vegeta. That's when we begin to realize how useless Kid Gohan's power is.

yeah, I think this mess is starting to make sense. The retcon is making this all possible.
