Did any of you guys like this GBA game? This was actually the first Dragon Ball game that I owned, but I somehow lost it. I may purchase it and the LoG series.

Cool at the time, since I played it early on. I was just happy to play dbz games. With hindsight I don't have great memories involving gameplay or story.

Was a lot of fun. My second favourite DBZ game I'd say after Attack of the Saiyans and ahead of Legendary Super Warriors. About even with or maybe more likely just below Advanced Adventure if counting DB games.

One annoying thing was the vampires that were guaranteed to kill you and a lot of the time would be positioned in ridiculous places. The difficulty was good early on but as it progressed it got too easy, especially for someone like me who explores a lot and liked to collect the items on this particular game.
It followed the story well with some homage areas (I use that term liberally) to different DB characters. My favourite parts were probably the Saiyaman/Gohan in HS and Otherworld parts from what I remember.

This is my favorite DBZ game. My favorite part is when you're looking for Vegeta's spirit in hell.

How did I miss this thread?! :cry

I adore this game, and Legacy of Goku II. Both are amazing. BF improved upon the greatness of LOGII, making characters customisable and whatnot, SSJ3, fusion etc. These RPGS are probably the best Z games in regards to story telling and replayability. The music and graphics are also fantastic. I love to listen to random tracks while surfing the web.

LOG II > Boo's Fury >>>> LOG 1 (trash)

I liked the additions to Boo's Fury, but the sheer ease with which you can breeze through the game made much of the customization options pointless. It was also somewhat buggy, with Vegeta looking like a Missingno during the Dabura cutscene and Gogeta still having a halo after Goku and Vegeta come back to life, and while occasionally forcing you to transform, didn't do it at some of the times it should've, such as during the Goku vs. Majin Vegeta fight. I liked all the neat little side missions you can do, though, and it was a fun little RPG in the end. LOG II was better though because of it being more challenging as well as improving upon its predecessor massively.

Good points on the difficulty. Videl vs Spopovich was always a tough fight, comparable to Vegeta vs #19 in LOGII.

Was Vegeta vs. #19 that hard? The only fight I recall giving me immense difficulty was Super Vegeta vs. Perfect Cell. When I was younger I got so frustrated at losing over and over that I threw my DS on the ground and broke it. Lol.

Well, it really depends on your level. If you jump into it at the base level or a few levels ahead, you'll have trouble. If you grind like, 8 - 12 levels it isn't all that difficult.

Yeah, Vegeta vs. 19 kind of sucks if you don't grind first. The fights against 20 were pretty hard too, although the fact that you have to stay in the northern mountains for like 1/5th of the game makes the rest of the androids fights easier.

I remember the first time I played through (not the time I threw my DS because of Cell) I actually leveled Vegeta all the way up to level 50 because I thought that you had to break the gate where his trophy is to progress in the story. I didn't use the internet back then and never bothered reading the dialogue so I never knew about the radio signal or whatever it was until I just kept wandering around.

LOL, I've heard people say the same thing in the past. No idea how anyone could grind to max that early in the game, it'd drive me insane.

Besides, the village folks give obvious clues as to what you need to do. :p

Yeah, I did the same thing too. Although I also ended up leveling up Gohan and Piccolo that high as well. A neat little tip is that there's also that Goku gate in the Northern Mountains which you're supposed to access to get a DB just before the Cell Games, and you can bug one of the triceratops there into charging at you. But since he's behind a barrier, while you can strike him with a physical attack or throw a Masenko at him etc., he usually can't find the right timing to damage you, and you get mass EXP as a result since those things are meant to be fought much, much later in the game.

I've exploited that too. I used that to max everyone before the Cell Games.

The hardest match in the game to me was Vegeta Vs 19 and against 20. And that fuking robots where you can't fight them since you're holding an egg lol.

It's frustrating, but once you figure out the patterns of the robots it ain't all that difficult, provided you transform into SSJ first

Janemba is easy. When your life and energy is low, eat some food and milk to boost you strength then start fighting again.
