TBH i never played LOG.

The first LOG is awful. I never even bothered to play it without an invincibility cheat because you can literally get two-shotted by a wolf early on and most other bosses can do the same thing even at level 35 (which I think was your max). You can also only play as Goku, which results in a crappy scenario where you end up fighting Freeza in all 4 of his forms despite Goku only meeting Freeza in his true form in that arc. The game can also literally be cleared in half an hour's worth of playing time whereas the other two easily require at least 9 hours even on a speedy playthrough.

I mean when you already know all the plot points and how to clear the trickier missions. A lot of people struggle early on because they didn't know about the 220 senzus or using IT to navigate through HFIL. For instance, it probably took me around 20 hours to beat pokemon ruby the first time despite it not really being a long game, but I can probably clear it in half the time now that I've played that game many times.
