Can Goten & Trunks SSj Pre stand in one place and tank Android 18?

Goten is literally a dead weight and doesn't allow Trunks to move. Is it that tough to understand?

Semi-Cell is also way more than a foot taller than both kids, so not the best example.

I think going SSJ didn't help all that much (if at all), considering they were already <= whatever power #18 was using in a giant costume, with no leg usage. So if going SSJ helped them that much, so they logically would not still be at disadvantage. Yet, they think this, without even attempting to fight her.

So all in all, if the costume is limiting their speed, then simply getting 50x more powerful isn't going to help them, the same way getting 50x more powerful wouldn't have helped Trunks land a blow on Cell if his speed stayed the same.

I would not have the boys any weaker than Piccolo, specially at how Green Man was surprised when they showed his full power at SSJ.

A dead weighted Semi Perfect Cell wouldn't affect another fighting on top of him. It just makes no sense. A uniform and extra weight -that is completely insignificant to these types of fighters because they can essentially break mountains by punching, has little effect on how powerful they would physically become.

The kids are encumbered by Goten's inability to fight back and Trunks having a hard time even moving. The suit was clearly a pain in the ass.

It's impossible for two Semi-Perfect Cells to lose to Android 18 under any conditions. Therefore the kids are weaker than him.

Until we see two kid-sized 2nd form Cells in a clown costume trying to avoid a Kienzan directly from Android #18, it's impossible to say that he would do better against her.

Android 18 is implied weaker than a weighted Kamiccolo.
Imperfect Cell (Post-Ginger Town) was able to completely tank an un-weighted Kamiccolo's strongest attack, which would have had a multiplier as high as 3x.
Semi-Perfect Cell (Initial) is able to completely tank a punch from Android 16, whose equal in power to Imperfect Cell (Post-Ginger Town)
Semi-Perfect Cell powers up to full power against Vegeta SSjG2.

There is absolutely no way he would lose to Android 18.

#18 and the boys never engaged in hand-to-hand combat, so it's also impossible to say that they can't tank her.

It's implied they can't win in physical combat. It's implied they aren't strong enough to one shot her physically. It's implied that some of the largest gaps in the entire series were the gaps between Kamiccolo & Imperfect Cell Post, and Android 16 and Semi-Perfect Cell. There is no way he would lose to her.

They never attempted physical combat because of the suit and it's restrictions. At 50x their speed and power they could accidentally rip the suit and reveal their identity which would get themselves disqualified. If Trunks without even using his full power (so no amplification - which arguably doesn't even exist) can kill #18 with a Ki blast, he should have no trouble beating her at full power without the suit's limitations.
