Cell rivalling Gohan

There's just too much that supports this:

Cell thinks he's powered-up like Gohan

Gohan, whilst at-first says he's going to rip Cell apart he later admits he under-estimated Cell

Goku telling Gohan to show him the power they created (heavily implying that he doesn't mean less than half of his power)

Cell coming-back to fight Gohan, despite the last time they fought going as-far as self-explosion to defeat them all. Why would he come-back, even if he couldn't take the ownage he got, he surely remembers that last time he went as far as to explode himself in-order to defeat everyone?

Cell having electricity

Cell some-how gaining IT post-Zenkai, if he got the IT which he didn't have before somehow illogically, then it'd surely make some sense for him to also get power rivalling that of Gohan who owned him before.



tell me plz how can cell be lower than less than half of gohan's power like some claim??

If Cell was even the tiniest bit above Gohan I don't think his arrogance would've permitted him to say he was only powered up a lot like Gohan. I'd say he was still slightly inferior, but rivaling nonetheless

That's what I'm saying. I'm with you on that. He's rivalling, but not surpassed. Wouldn't make sense with what the Boo Saga implies either.

I see some people say though that Cell is below less than half of Gohan's power. Like how can you think that?

Gohan was at less than half his power at first, but to believe that the KHH that killed Cell was one that was holding-back basically ignores everything else. They just look at that one point and ignore everything-else.

Yeah I think Gohan tapped into a burst of power above his normal peak when he finished Cell. Hell, when he charges the KHH one-handed Piccolo even confirms Gohan's ki was way smaller than Cell's, so there's no way Cell is ~50% of full power Gohan

Yeah, but people'd probably say he was holding-back at first and that's why Gohan's Ki didn't seem comparable to Cell's.

Goku even tells Gohan to show him the power they created. Does that mean less than half-power, l0l? On-top of that the way that was portrayed and Goku even telling Gohan that it was all in his thoughts or something or him imagining (IIRC) was the problem, so he probably had a lack of confidence which held-back his power even more, not only his physical injuries.

That's when gohan is still holding back power though.

The scene at the end clearly is meant to show that Gohan was able to tap into a higher power than this so-called less than half-power. It was Gohan's thoughts that were holding him back, maybe even more-son than his physical injuries, since Goku himself implies it. It's in a way like Freeza, he too had injuries but was able to use his full-power, because he wasn't held-back by his lack of confidence.

Everything-else, in my opinion anyway, clearly portray Cell as a huge threat.

I think SSJ2 Gohan is still noticeable stronger than SPC, as he was used as a measuring stick in the Boo saga, but Cell is in no way too far behind.

You believe in the Zarbon/Vegeta gap, right?! Isn't 91% a-bit too far-away then?

I'd find it weird for him to come-back. Even-though that could work for others since I consider 91% close. Like I think Freeza is 92% of Super-Saiyan Goku, l0l.

I go back and forth on this one. I sometimes put Cell a tiny margin above Gohan or vice versa or I'll have them being equals. Cell may be arrogant but I don't think he's an idiot and wouldn't have came back if he didn't think he'd be able to go another round with Gohan and get better results. I think these two would've had a GOOD fight if Cell didn't break his arm with a barely amplified attack but no matter what I'm sure we would've came to the beam struggle and Gohan winning in the end.

Look at Gohan's line before the beam struggle:

Gohan:"…Do it…I at least know it’s pointless to resist…It…It’s too bad…I wanted to tear you to pieces…"

Gohan is still displaying confidence he would defeat Cell at 100%.

Also Gohan said SPC is stronger than he thought. Why didn't he just said Cell is as strong as him?
