He doesn't NEED to do anything. He could have easily pushed her out or whatever.

That doesn't mean the attack is stronger than a chop; it barely even qualifies as an attack, if at all. If Chichi was actually hurt by the shockwave itself, then you'd have a point.

I think what we see from Goku versus Chi-Chi is entirely a different level. Goku isn't even moving at all against Chappa, bro looks like he's taking a nap.

There was too much distance between them for him to physically push her. Punching the air was the quickest way of ringing her out.

He used Mushin against Chopper, not Chee Chee.

Chi Chi is shown as keeping up with the rest of the Dragon Team more or less. Would be weird to introduce here as someone who only could keep up with the 22nd Budokai version of the Dragon Team.

Roshi is part of the bygone generation and Chi Chi is a part of the generation that far surpasses him.
