Column 1: Three Futures Created by Time Travel
In the midst of the battle with the androids and Cell, we examine the time paradox caused by Trunks' time machine.
A Divergent History
In "The History of Trunks," which comes from the future, Trunks defeats Androids 17 and 18 and Cell. So where did Cell from the future, who appeared in the "main story history," come from? This is where the "history of how Cell came to be" emerges. In this history, No. 17 and No. 18 did not exist when Cell was born. Cell travels to the past of the "main story's history" to absorb them, but why aren't #17 and #18 there? When Trunks returns to the "main history" again, the past is slightly different from what Trunks knows, such as when Goku became ill and the existence of Android 16. It cannot be denied that there may have been a different history to the one depicted in the story. What kind of future did that history hold? As an aside, why hasn't Majin Buu been resurrected outside of the "main story history"? The answer is simple. With Goku and the others dead, there was no one left on Earth with the immense amount of energy needed to revive Buu.

What is a Time Paradox!?
Time travel can change history or create contradictions. When a time paradox occurs, history branches out as shown above. With the help of Trunks from the future, Cell was defeated, changing history and averting a bleak future. Another time paradox is that Trunks in the harsh future has a different personality from the rich boy Trunks in the main story.

How has Son Goku's Fighting Power Changed Since Then?
Even after the battle with Frieza, powerful foes beyond human comprehension continued to appear before Goku. Although they no longer heal wounds and power up as often, transformations and fusions continue to boost Goku and the others' fighting power. So much that it's no longer possible to measure their numerical value...
Note: the other power levels are the ones we all know from the Saiyan Sagan and Ginyu Arc with no tidbits
Column 3: Another Chronicle: Unraveling the Unknown Episodes
We will examine the historical backgrounds of two different worlds, "Super Saiyan Legend," whose exact era is not stated, and "DB."
How did the Super Saiyan legend begin?
Although chronicles record the appearance of the Super Saiyans and the threat they pose, the truth remains shrouded in mystery. In "Episode of Bardock," Goku's father, Bardock, awakens as a Super Saiyan in a past world, but was that the beginning of the legend?

World View for DB
The uniquely fascinating world of "Dragon Ball" is analyzed from four perspectives: worldview, society, culture, and race. New facts may emerge from the detailed and profound world setting.
Worldview
The DB world in which Son Goku and the others live has a unique and unusual worldview. How is the entire world, including the Earth, the universe, and the afterlife, constructed? Or how did figures such as the Supreme Kai, the gods who watch over the world, come into being? What is the view of life and death that makes the world of DB most DB-like? Let's unravel this fascinating worldview.
How the Universe Works
The adventures of Son Goku and the others unfold not only on Earth, but also on various planets in space. "Earth," where Goku and his friends live, belongs to the "Northern Galaxy" in the DB world and can be described as "4032 green planet 877." The entire world is spherical, and Beerus, the God of Destruction, has said that there are a total of 12 universes in this vast universe, and that the universe in which Goku and the others are adventuring belongs to the "Seventh Universe." You will see that this world is endless and vast, and that the DB world is a worldview with an enormous scale that transcends human understanding. This Universe 7 has a history of hundreds of planets being destroyed by the Saiyans, the Frieza Force, and Majin Buu, created by the wizard Bibidi. Furthermore, the various events that occur in Universe 7, including Goku and the others' home planet of Earth, are watched over neutrally by the King Kais and the Kaiōshins of the Kai Realm.

Hell
The three areas that exist in the afterlife are orderly structured worlds. In terms of location and meaning, there is a clear hierarchical relationship as shown in the diagram on the right (above).
Demon Realm
It is said that the Demon Realm exists in a part of the universe that is still in a state of chaos. Dabura, the king of the Dark Demon Realm, came from here.
Earth
Earth is located in the northern galaxy. From the perspective of the entire universe, it is a beautiful planet with a good and comfortable environment to live on.
Universe galaxies diagram: The universe is divided into four galaxies, each overseen by four King Kais.
The Origins of the World
The world that makes up DB is broadly divided into three areas. Please pay attention to Figure 1. You will see that the three areas of "The Afterlife," the world of the dead where the Kaiō World, Enma World and Hell exist, "This World," the world of the living where the universe and Earth exist, and "The Kaioshin Realm," where the Kaiōshins reside, are all interconnected. Furthermore, the existence of the Demon Realm, which is said to be on the other side of the universe and is a world that even the Kaiōs and co. cannot see, has also been confirmed. Here we will explain in detail about the afterlife, this world, and the Kaioshin Realm.
Afterlife
The afterlife is also known as "heaven," and in principle, only the dead and gods are allowed to enter. For those of us living in this world, it is what is known as the "afterlife," and also the world where the gods who manage this world live. Furthermore, the afterlife is further divided into three areas: the Kaiō World, the Enma World, and Hell. In the "Kaio Worlld" there are the Kaio Planets of the East, West, North, and South, the Grand Kaio Planet, and Heaven. In the "Enma World" resides King Enma, who judges the souls of the dead, and in King Enma's mansion, the souls of the dead are selected and sorted. Those who behaved well in life go to heaven in the "Kaio World." On the other hand, the third area, "Hell," is where the souls of evil people are cast into. By the way, each area is in a hierarchical relationship, and as a general rule, you cannot move freely between them. For example, it is impossible to move freely from Hell to the Demon Realm, and a special method must be used to go from the Enma World to the Kaio World. This also shows that a perfect hierarchical relationship has been established: Kaiō World → Enma World → Hell. Furthermore, the gods who live in the afterlife are always in a position to watch over this world. In rare cases, in very serious cases, they may interfere with life forms on earth.
This World
This World is also known as the "present world." Simply put, it refers to the vast "universe." In the DB world, the universe is broadly divided into four galaxies: east, west, north, and south. Furthermore, the division of the galaxy into north, south, east and west is merely used by the gods as an administrative unit, and life forms living in This World can travel freely between galaxies as long as they have the technological ability to travel through space. By the way, the Earth where Goku and the others live is located in the Northern Galaxy. It is said to be one of the most beautiful planets, especially in the northern galaxy. It is also known that there exists a chaotic area called the "Demon Realm" on the other side of the universe, or somewhere else. The Demon Realm is a special place in This World, out of the reach of the gods of the afterlife. Also, not much is known about it, other than that it is inhabited by vicious life forms. There are also records that these life forms threatened the peace of the universe. Furthermore, ordinary living beings cannot freely travel between This World and the Afterlife. Since the Afterlife is also the "world after death" for people of this world, the only way to go there is usually as a soul at the time of death. However, there are a very small number of people who are allowed to travel within the Afterlife the by the gods.
Kaioshin Realm
The Kaiōshin Realm is where the Kaiōshins reside, the gods of the Kaiōs who live in the afterlife. The entire world orbits this area at regular intervals like a satellite, to monitor both the Afterlife and This World. Of course, there are times when they interfere in important matters that affect the fate of the world, both in This World and the Afterlife. Normally, those from This World and the Afterlife are not allowed to enter the Kaiōshin Realm. However, unless one possesses advanced "teleportation" abilities, it is impossible to travel to the Kaioshin Realm. Furthermore, the Kaiōshins and the Kaiōs are born somewhere in This World in a place called the "Kaishin(=World Core)Planet." They are special life forms called "Core People" and are said to be born from the fruit of the giant "Kaiju"(=Tree of World)tree. Its lifespan is said to be around 75,000 years. Normally, the Kaiō is chosen by drawing lots from among the core people born from ordinary fruits. When a Kaiō dies on a Kaiō planet, the next Kaiō is chosen. On rare occasions, when a golden fruit grows, a special core person is born from it and becomes a Kaioshin. Furthermore, some of them may become evil-minded delinquents, and they will descend into the Demon Realm.

World Topics: Does not Belong to Any World (Subspace)
In addition, there is a "subspace" that does not belong anywhere in the world of [Figure 1]. There is no concept of "time" or "space" there, and it exists between dimensions, separated from any other area.
Images: The "Room of Spirit and Time" and the "Sugoroku Space" etc. have been confirmed.
DB's View of Life and Death
Not only is the world's origins unique, but the DB world's view of life and death is also unique. First, please take a look at Figure 3. All living beings in This World, not just humans or aliens, become "souls" when they die and, without exception, go to the mansion of King Enma in the World of Enma. From this principle, we can see that living beings in the DB world consist of a "body" and a "soul." When each soul reaches King Enma's mansion, it is decided by King Enma, who oversees the dead, whether they will go to heaven or hell. At this time, those who behaved well in life will be sent to heaven, and those who behaved badly will be sent to hell. The only exception is Dabura, the King of the Demon Realm, who is from the Dark Demon Realm and was sent to Heaven because "he would be happy if he went to Hell." In this way, King Enma discerns the nature of the living and determines the path of the dead. Normally, the dead can only enter the world of Enma in the form of their souls. However, there are exceptions, such as Goku. At the discretion of the gods living on each planet, there are rare cases where people visit the world of Enma while still in physical bodies. The goal of most Kaiō practitioners is to train under a Kaiō. At this time, a ring appears above the head, making it possible to distinguish between the living and the dead. There is also an exception in that the souls of those killed by the "Demons" led by Demon King Piccolo cannot go to the Dark Demon Realm, but instead drift through the dimensions of this world forever.

Hell (Those who did bad deeds)
Those who behaved badly in life are forced to go to hell from King Enma's mansion.
Kaio's Planet (Special Exception)
As an exception, some people are allowed to go from King Enma's mansion to King Kai's planet.
The Role of Heaven
As mentioned earlier, the Kaiō of the East, West, North and South who live in the afterlife (heaven) are gods of this world and are in a position to monitor the entire universe, dividing it into East, West, North and South. And just like the Kaios, the Kaiōshin, the gods of gods who reside in the Kaiōshin Realm, are also in a position to watch over both the Afterlife and This World. In fact, the Kaioshins do not simply monitor the Afterlife and This World, but also possess the power of "creation," which gives rise to the birth of planets and living beings. On the other hand, there is a god called "God of Destruction" who possesses the power of "destruction" that is opposite to that power and has the authority to destroy everything in the universe. We will discuss the Gods of Destruction later, but in the DB world, history is woven through repeated creation by the Kaioshin and destruction by the God of Destruction. In the universe to which Earth belongs, many planets have been destroyed by the Saiyans, Frieza's gang, Majin Buu, and others. However, as planets are repeatedly destroyed, new life and planets are also being born somewhere in the universe through the hands of the Kaioshin. In times of grave concern that affect the fate of the world, the Kaiōshin may actively intervene in the Afterlife and This World in order to maintain balance and order among the stars and life in the universe. This cycle of destruction and creation maintains balance throughout the universe.
Figure 4: The Role of Heaven
Kaioshin (Creation)
Stars and Life
God of Destruction (Destruction)
Maintaining the Balance of the Universe
The Existence of the God of Destruction
As the counterpart to the Kaioshins, who control the "creation" of planets and life, the gods who control the "destruction" of planets and life are called "Gods of Destruction." Among them, the god of destruction in the universe where Goku and the others live is named Beerus. Usually, when a God of Destruction is not active, he remains in a deep sleep for several years or even several decades. And then they awaken to wreak destruction. The planets to be destroyed are decided at the whim of the God of Destruction. They can also be agents of destruction due to their whims. They can also act as agents of destruction due to their whims. In fact, Beerus entrusted Frieza with the destruction of Planet Vegeta. When the God of Destruction, Beerus, awakens for the first time in 39 years, the Earth is in dire straits. This is because the awakening of the God of Destruction usually means that the planets within its controlled area will be destroyed. This meant that the Earth was also in danger of being destroyed by Beerus. When Beerus visited Earth, they were able to escape the crisis at that time thanks to Goku, Vegeta and the others. The exact nature of the connection between the Kaiōshin and the God of Destruction, who are in a paired relationship, is shrouded in mystery. However, the power that the God of Destruction possesses is truly beyond dimensions, as befits his title as the God of Destruction. Faced with such terrifying destructive power, even the Kaioshins are filled with fear and are unable to lay a hand on him. His transcendent power surpassed even that of Son Goku, who had surpassed the Super Saiyan level.
Figure 5 is titled 'Order of the Gods' and shows the order from Beerus and Whis on top, through the Kaioshins, Kaios and God of Earth at the bottom
Gods' Supporters
One of the ways that the gods of the afterlife (heaven) rule this world is by sending talented people to each planet. Its purpose is to monitor and protect any intelligent life on the planet. And the most important purpose is to encourage the racial growth of immature intelligent life forms and guide them in the best possible direction. However, those sent to each planet often do not become the gods of that planet themselves, but rather become something like "attendants of the gods." God is obligated to select a suitable individual from among the intelligent life forms on that planet. This relationship is shown in Figure 6. There seems to be a principle that "the fate of a living thing is left to that living thing," and those sent there are only allowed to play a supporting role. In fact, Mr. Popo and Karin, who were sent from the afterlife to Earth, were dedicated to supporting the chosen god. Some people, like Fortune-Teller Baba, take on special roles, acting as a bridge between This World and the Afterlife.

Society
While our eyes tend to be drawn to the fierce battles of Goku and his friends, behind the scenes in the everyday world, many people live, create countries, and form societies. They obey established laws and follow government administration. This is true not only for the Earth, but for the universe in general. Here, we will consider the formation of nations and social systems in DB, focusing on Earth, Planet Vegeta, and Planet Namek.
Earth
The entire Earth is governed as a single federal state. A "federal state" is a system of two or more countries joined together and governed by a unified government on an equal footing. Usually, a nation is formed by a group of small countries coming together to counter a larger power, but in DB's Earth, all the countries in the world have come together to form one nation. It is truly a "global nation," and it can be said to be an ideal environment where conflicts and wars between countries are unlikely to occur. The Earth Federation is made up of 43 nations. Considering the need for 43 countries to unite into a "Earth nation," the issue of defense against alien life forms from outside the Earth may have been a common concern among all countries. In order to resist contact with aliens or invasion by creatures from the "Demon Realm" said to be on the other side of the world, it was thought necessary to transcend the framework of "nations" and unify under the banner of "Earth nations." It is unclear whether the King who holds all power in this federation, living in King Castle, is elected or hereditary, but the King from 100 years ago became king thanks to the power of the Dragon Balls. Although it is a monarchy in which the King holds power, its policies are largely democratic, and local administration is left to local autonomy. On the other hand, the King seems to have little interest in local government. As shown in Figure 1, political and economic functions are concentrated in large cities such as Western Capital and Satan City, and do not reach the countryside. As a result, the economic disparity between urban and rural areas is huge, and while there are large cities with many skyscrapers, there are also areas like Nam's village that are suffering from famine and lacking water for daily use. It can also be pointed out that educational and welfare facilities are lagging behind. In many areas, there are no hospitals or schools. However, correspondence education has developed, and children are not obligated to attend school if they are taking the course. Because the central government's eyes are not reaching the regions, it cannot be said that public safety is good nationwide. Criminal groups such as King Pilaf and the RR Army frequently appear in areas away from urban areas. The government has a Royal Defence Force, commanded by the King, but it is questionable whether it is effective in combating crime.

Satan City, located in an affluent area, has a large, well-equipped high school, but the area where Goku lives has no educational facilities.
Planet Vegeta
The Saiyans, who were drifting in space, occupied Planet Plant, inhabited by the Tuffles, renamed it Planet Vegeta, and made it their home planet. At that time, an "absolute monarchy" was established with a single king at the top. The imperial throne was hereditary, with each successive king taking on the name "King Vegeta." Since then, Planet Vegeta has built a feudal society in which the king and the prince, who is the next king, have absolute authority over the people. The Saiyans were a warrior race, and all citizens were conscripted as soldiers, with the king having dominion over his soldiers. The value of a citizen was placed in their fighting ability, and their fighting ability was tested from the moment they were born, with ranks determined by their abilities, such as "elite warriors" and "low-class warriors." In other words, the country itself has a social structure similar to that of a military organization. The Saiyans are a warrior race who have lived a brutal life since ancient times, raiding many planets to make a fortune. Their military strength was not merely a national defense force, but also served as a mercenary under a contract with Frieza's army. Frieza ruled over hundreds of planets, including Planet Vegeta, but he wasn't organized like a company.
Planet Namek
All Namekians are children of the Eldest man at the top. The Eldest is not a political leader, but the "parent" of all Namekians. In other words, Namek can be said to be one giant bloodline society. The Namekians were once on the verge of extinction due to abnormal weather on the planet, but the population has now recovered, although it is now just under 100 people. including the eldest, Seven elders govern each village. The eldest leaves administrative duties to each elder, resulting in a completely decentralized system.

Other Planets
There are many different social structures across the planets of the vast universe. The planet Imegga controls all of its citizens, including the castaways, through rental contracts. Rudo is a planet where followers of the Rudo religion gather from various planets and are ruled by the cult leader at the top. Planet M2, the home base of the Machine Mutants, is also home to two major forces: the Baby Army and the Alien Army, and has no citizens. Other planets include Monmars, where only giant creatures surrounded by nature live and there is no organized society, and Pital, where the entire planet is like a hospital and boasts the best medical system in the universe. There is no way to know the social structure of the Tuffles, but it is assumed that they had a king, operated as a monarchy, and defended their country with advanced scientific capabilities.
Work Topics: Diplomacy Among the Planets
Diplomatic attitudes vary depending on the planet. Earth and Namek generally do not have any active exchanges with other planets, and it is the Saiyans who have engaged in the most flashy diplomacy. Their main business was invading other planets and selling them to other planets.
Earth (No diplomatic relations)
Because they lacked the technology to advance into space, they had no diplomatic relations with other planets, and ordinary citizens were unaware of the existence of aliens.
Planet Namek (Intercourse)
It was a passive diplomacy, where they did not venture outside of their own country, but instead allowed other aliens to visit Namek.
Planet Vegeta/Planet Frieza
Planet Vegeta, where invasion is the foundation of its business, has frequent contact with other planets, selling conquered planets and making military pledges.
The alphabet circles show the connection of Planet Vegeta and Planet Frieza such as invasion, contract, sale and providing military forces
Culture
DB features numerous countries and worlds, including the countless planets in the universe, the heavenly realm, and the demonic realm. The residents who live there each have their own unique culture. The Namekians are an agricultural people, the Saiyans can be considered a hunting people, and the Earthlings are somewhere in between. In a sense, DB can be seen as a drama of struggle between ethnic groups with different cultures. Let's take a look at the differences in ethnic culture, which also play a role in creating the characters' personalities.
Culture
Earth
On Earth, where many different ethnic groups and races coexist, there are significant differences in industry and culture between regions. In large cities, urban development is based on heavy chemical industries, and advanced science and technology such as air cars and anti-gravity airplanes have become deeply ingrained in people's lives, but in rural areas, traditional agricultural lifestyles such as pasture-based farming and dairy farming continue to be practiced. In this respect, it can be said that this is a cultural form in which primary industries, which provide food, and secondary and tertiary industries, which enrich the lives of the people, coexist in a balanced manner. Earth's culture possesses advanced science and technology, but the primary reason for this explosive technological development is the "Capsule Revolution." The "Hoipoi Capsule," which can store any object, dramatically enriched people's lives and opened up new possibilities for future technology. On the other hand, the expansion of the military industry is also a problem. With the mass transportation of weapons using Hoipoi Capsules and the development of combat androids through genetic manipulation, crimes that abuse these methods, such as those committed by the RR Army, are also on the rise. In this way, the fields of science and technology are growing rapidly on Earth, but at the same time, the existence of supernatural things such as magic and sorcery is also recognized in some circles, and a culture has been formed in which the two coexist and prosper together. It also seems that Christian and Buddhist religions exist on DB's Earth, and are objects of faith for the people, but the general public is unaware that there is a real God who watches over the Earth from the top of a temple.
Earthling Technology
Capsule Revolution
The palm-sized Hoi Poi Capsule was invented by Dr. Brief, president of Capsule Corporation. It has greatly improved portability and mobility. At the same time, it also made it possible to put anti-gravity engines and genetic engineering technology into practical use.
Earthlings' Entertainment
Roshi watching TV image: With the development of mass media, games and movies on television screens have become common forms of entertainment.
Tenkaichi Budokai image: Martial arts are more popular than ball games or track and field sports, and there are even world-class competitions such as the Tenkaichi Budokai.

World Topics: Comparison of the Cultures of the 3 Races
It appears that cultural tendencies color the nature of each race, such as the gentle Namekians having an agricultural culture and the warrior Saiyans having a hunting culture.
Earthlings
The capsule revolution has brought about great advances in science and technology, but rural areas still maintain their agricultural culture.
Saiyans (Absorption)
The Saiyans developed by plundering the cultures of other planets.
Namekians
The Namekians live a traditional agricultural lifestyle, building their homes on the planet and planting Ajissa seedlings.
Planet Vegeta
The Saiyans were originally uncivilized and had only a primitive culture, but they developed by invading other planets and absorbing their cultures. A prime example of this is the scientific technology they stole from the Tuffles on Planet Plant, including the Scouter. The Saiyans are a warrior race with no experience of agricultural culture, and are purely a "hunter-race" that only seizes what they need from their enemies. Although its science is more advanced than on Earth, it is not unique to the Saiyans; it is a plundering culture that has stolen everything from other peoples and extracted only what is necessary. Therefore, a characteristic of the Saiyan cultural development is that only the technology necessary for combat evolved. Examples include combat suits and medical machines. Saiyans' entertainment is solely through fighting. As a warrior people, fighting is synonymous with joy for them. In this respect, the act of planetary invasion can be said to be both a hobby and a practical benefit. Also, from the perspective of faith, the "Super Saiyan" was in a god-like position for the Saiyans. For Saiyans, the Super Saiyan has long been a mythical figure, seen as a "legendary super warrior who appears once every thousand years." However, those of Saiyan descent, such as Gohan and Trunks, transform into Super Saiyans one after another. For this reason, there is a theory that the true legendary warriors are "Super Saiyan 4," in which the Saiyan's wild side is fully expressed, and "Super Saiyan God," who is completed by absorbing the powers of multiple Saiyans.
Planet Vegeta Technology (Tuffles Absorption)
In addition to the scouters they stole from the Tuffles, Saiyan scientists researched their advanced scientific capabilities and developed a series of military items. (Medical Machine, Scouter, Saibaman, Battle Suit)
Planet Namek
Namekians are a typical agricultural people. Namekians, who have unique abilities such as regeneration, fusion, and healing, have abandoned scientific technology created by mechanical powers after their planet was destroyed by abnormal weather. They can survive on water alone and have no need to secure food, so they live a peaceful agricultural life cultivating ajissa trees. Regarding spoken language, it has been confirmed that the Namekians speak both "Namekian," their own language, and the "space language" used throughout the universe, including Earth.

Other Planets
On planets scattered across the universe, there are many cases where specialized cultures unique to each planet have developed. Also, most aliens can speak the official space language, so even aliens will have no trouble communicating with each other. In addition, there are said to be more than 7,000 languages in space.
Work Topics: Planet Plant, the Planet of the Tuffles Destroyed by the Saiyans
Once upon a time, a primitive Saiyan washed ashore on Planet Plant, home to the Tuffles, a people of excellent science. The Tuffles allowed them to live there, but in just a few hundred years the Saiyans had undergone extraordinary evolution. Soon, war broke out between the two races. Under King Vegeta, who was the king of the Saiyans at the time, the Tuffles were wiped out. However, the cornered Tuffle people used their remaining scientific knowledge to develop a parasitic life form just before they were wiped out. King Tuffle's genes were transplanted into it and it was released into space. This is what would later become Baby.
Baby devised the "Whole Universe Tuffle Plan" to revive the Tuffle people. He has come to parasitize all people on Earth and make them his subordinates.
Race
It is no exaggeration to say that the world of DB, which features numerous planets, is a story woven by various planetary races. The Saiyans are a warrior race, Earthlings are a mixture of various types, the Namekians are a supernatural race, and the Tuffles are a people of science... The encounters between distinctive races shaped the story. We will focus on these races and proceed with an analysis of the historical relationships between races and the biological species.
Earth
Earthlings were originally a species with no formal contact with other planets. However, it seems that there are quite a few species, such as Namekians, Saiyans, and three-eyed people, who have drifted to Earth and are now living as Earthlings. In fact, it is also true that Saiyans who have naturalized on Earth have had offspring with Earthlings. This also suggests that humans tend to accept other species without any resistance. That's because humans on Earth are originally made up of three completely different types of people, all of whom look completely different. These are "human type," "animal type," and "monster type." Furthermore, even within each type of human, there are many who look completely different. This suggests that a morality of not discriminating against humans based on their appearance
has naturally developed among Earthlings. Now, the proportions of the three types of Earthlings are as shown in Figure 1. First of all, the most populous type is the human form, which comes in a variety of skin colors, hair colors, eye colors, etc. It is also known that humans and Saiyans can have offspring. Most humanoid Earthlings do not possess any special powers, but a small minority possess outstanding powers that could be considered special abilities. For example, various abilities have been confirmed, such as those with genius minds like Bulma and Dr. Briefs, those whose personalities change every time they sneeze like Lunch, and those who can use psychic powers like Chiaozu. The next most common type is the animal type. Although they look like animals, they are characterized by their human-like behavior, such as speaking human language, handling weapons, and using wisdom. The animal forms consist of a variety of different types, all with very different appearances. Some of them are animal-type beings with special powers, such as Oolong and Pu'er, who have mastered transformation techniques, or Rabbit Carrot, who can turn anyone he touches into a carrot. It has also been revealed that there is a facility called a transformation kindergarten for animal-like Earthlings. Unusually for the DB world, Bee the dog cannot speak any human language and is classified as an "animal" living on Earth, and does not belong to the animal-type Earthlings. Finally, the monster type. Representative examples include King Pilaf, Mummy-kun, Dracula Man, and Suke-san. They are characterized by their extremely unique appearance, and many of them possess mysterious powers. Incidentally, it is believed that the numbers of both animal and monster species are gradually decreasing because it is difficult for different species to produce offspring. In addition to the three human races, monsters such as Giran and Buyon, and animals such as the sea turtle and Bee also coexist on Earth. Earthlings, whose home planet is said to be extremely beautiful even when viewed from the perspective of the entire universe, are often targeted by demons and evil aliens. Among Earthlings, there are some who, like the RR Army, plot to conquer the world, and ordinary Earthlings who have no fighting ability often become victims of these battles. At one point, the human race was even pushed to the brink of extinction. Each time, it is saved by Goku and the others, or revived by the power of the Dragon Balls. However, the average Earthling is unaware of the existence of the Dragon Balls or Goku and the others, and many live lives unrelated to fighting.
Figure 1: Earthling Type
Compared to human types, animal and monster types are steadily decreasing in number. We must also not forget the existence of half-breeds, quarter-breeds, and descendants of people of multiple races.
[As of Age 784]
Human-type (Bulma, Kamesennin): 75%
Animal type (Oolong, Earth's King): 17%
Monster type (Pilaf): 7%
Descendants of other races (Gohan, Tienshinhan): 1%

Work Topics: The Demon Clan's True Identity
The Great Demon King appeared in the world as the evil part of the Earth God, and from him came the demon race. Later, the dragon race's characteristic ability to lay eggs was altered by the power of evil. Later, the dragon race's characteristic ability to lay eggs was altered by the power of evil. The eggs spat out of its mouth immediately hatch, and demons are born.
Saiyans
The greatest feature of the Saiyan warrior race is that they are a completely homogeneous race. They have no types like there are for Earthlings and Namekians. Their distinctive tail represents the Saiyan race's distinctive traits. It has proven useful as a third hand in combat. It also plays an important role as a receptor for Buruts waves. The fact that their combat power increases tenfold during the full moon could be considered an ability intended for attacking other races. But at the same time, the tail is also a Saiyan's weak point. This is probably due to the ritual fighting instincts that many animals have. In other words, when Saiyans fight each other, the key to determining superiority as a species is how to avoid injury. The warlike Saiyans are constantly fighting within their own species, and the current Saiyans may be a species that has survived historical conflicts. And transforming into a Super Saiyan is considered a hidden ability for the preservation of the species. It is speculated that the high incidence of Super Saiyans among the children of Earthlings is also due to the survival of the species. With their naturally strong physiques and long adolescence, it can be said that Saiyans are a species that has evolved for the purpose of combat and invasion.

Super Saiyan Characteristics
● A Saiyan who appears once every 1000 years and overcomes obstacles that even the most talented warriors cannot overcome.
● Awakened by intense anger with a calm heart.
Namekians
Namekians are divided into two types: the basic dragon clan, and the warrior type with high combat abilities. The first thing that stands out is that they are a race with extremely strong vitality. First, there is the dragon clan's ability to lay eggs. In Namek's society, where gender does not exist, anyone born into the dragon type can give birth to offspring on their own. Additionally, the dragon clan has the power to create things, and talented individuals such as the Earth God and Dende can even create DBs. The warrior type has the goal of protecting the dragon clan, which can increase their offspring, from external enemies. Please refer to Figure 5 for the population ratio of dragon clan and warrior type. It could be said that the fact that the dragon clan made up the majority of the population supported the recovery of the Namekians, who were at one point on the verge of annihilation due to the invasions of Frieza and others. Other characteristics include the ability to fly, the ability to regenerate their body if their head remains, telepathic abilities that allow them to communicate without speaking, power-ups through fusion, and the ability to survive with just the right amount of water. These characteristics are what make Namekians a "strong" race.

Warrior-type: 14%
Other Races
There are a wide variety of races in the DB world. The three major races in the DB world are Earthlings, Saiyans, and Namekians. Yardrat aliens and Metamor aliens with special abilities. Three-eyed people who are said to be the ancestors of Tenshinhan. The Nicochan aliens and the Okakaume aliens live in Penguin Village. The animation also features many other alien races, including the Tuffles, who were the indigenous people of Planet Vegeta, as well as the Brench aliens, Beppe aliens, Zoruto aliens, Makyo aliens, Litt aliens, Shātsu aliens, Tabbu aliens, Kanassa aliens, Mito aliens, Kuhn aliens, Outaichi aliens, Aryan aliens, Conuts aliens, Shamo aliens, Beenz people, Ikonda aliens, Hera clan etc..

[Artificial Life Form]
Artificial lifeforms that do not originally exist in the universe but were created by intelligent lifeforms include the androids developed by Dr. Gero, a scientist for the RR military, the mechanical lifeforms created by the Tuffles and produced by the mad scientist Dr. Myu, and parasitic organisms. Androids include biotypes such as No. 17 and No. 18, which are based on humans, and mechatypes such as No. 16, No. 19, and No. 20, which are mechanized versions of humans. Cell is the bio-android who stands the top of them all, and after absorbing No. 17 and No. 18, he became more powerful and evolved into his perfect form. Other examples include Super No. 17, the ultimate artificial human formed by the combination of No. 17 and New No. 17, created by Dr. Gero and Dr. Myu after they fell into Hell. The mechanical lifeforms are called Machine Mutants, commonly known as M2s, and are robots based on the planet M2. Their goal is to revive the parasitic organism Baby, and they follow the orders of Dr. Myu. The parasitic creature Baby, revived by Dr. Myu, has King Tuffle's genes embedded in it. He brainwashed all people on Earth with the intention of turning the entire universe into Tuffles, but his ambitions were thwarted by Goku and the others.
Figure 7: Comparison of Various Artificial Life Form
Androids
The androids look no different from humans. Android 18, a female modified human, was able to have a child with Krillin, an Earthling.
Mechanical Life Form
Many robots have high combat capabilities, such as the mass-produced M2 Gill, which is equipped with built-in missiles.
Parasitic Organism
Baby's mission is to revive Planet Plant, which had been taken by the Saiyans, and to take revenge on the Saiyans, and he devised a plan to turn the entire universe into Tuffles.
Otherworldly Races
[Enma World]
The world of Enma, the first place visited by the souls of the dead who have reached the afterlife, is inhabited by a race headed by King Enma. Their role is to manage the dead, and they have horns on their heads, giving them a distinctive appearance reminiscent of an "oni" (ogre). King Enma is responsible for selecting the souls of the dead based on their actions in life and determining whether they will go to heaven or hell, based on the Enma-cho (register of dead souls). He has the ability to use force to subdue misbehaving spirits. He is quite large, and one of his abilities is his incredible ears, which allow him to hear even the smallest voices. The Enma World is connected to the Kaio World by the Snake Path, and it is said that King Enma once traveled along that path to the Kaio Planet to train.
Enma World image: Enma World's inhabitants are busy dealing with the daily streams of the dead.
Kaio World
As mentioned above, the Kaiōs are special life forms called Core Person who watch over the world. The Kaiō World belongs to the "Afterlife," the world of the dead, and is home to four Kaiō who rule the four galaxies, north, south, east and west, as well as a Grand Kaiō who oversees the entire Kaiō World. They have distinctive pointed ears and special abilities such as being able to sense the energy of people from far away. Some Kaiōs live with attendants. Furthermore, even higher-ranking beings than the Kaiō are the Kaiōshin, gods who live in the Kaiōshin Realm, a sacred realm that belongs neither to This World nor the Afterlife. In the Kaioshin Realm, there are four Kaioshin who control the four directions of the universe, the East, the West, the North, and the South, as well as the Grand Kaioshin who oversees them and the Elder Kaioshin who is the ancestor of the Kaioshin, and they watch over both This World and the Afterlife. Some of the Kaioshins were absorbed by Buu.
Goku arriving on Kaio's planet image: North Kaio, who rules the Northern Galaxy, trained Goku when he visited the Kaio Planet and taught him the Kaio-ken and the Genki Dama.
Demon Realm
The world known as the Demon Realm or Demon World is inhabited by a race of evil creatures. In the Demon World, magic is more advanced than science, and King Dabura, the strongest in the Demon World, possesses great fighting power, including the ability to turn opponents to stone. He was controlled by the wizard Babidi and fought against Goku and the others. He is later defeated by Majin Buu. After his death, he was selected by King Enma and sent to heaven because he thought that going to hell would bring him joy. The Demon Realm, said to be on the other side of the universe, is outside the jurisdiction of the afterlife, and is a world that even the Kaiō and Kaiōshin cannot fully comprehend. As a result, details about the species that inhabit it are shrouded in mystery, and their full picture has yet to be revealed.
Dabura
Dabura was known as the "King of the Dark Demon Realm" and possessed such power that even the Kaioshin was afraid.
[Subspace]
It is an alternate dimension that does not belong anywhere in this world, and examples include the "Room of Spirit and Time" in the Temple of God and the "Sugoroku Space" between dimensions. The "Room of Spirit and Time" has a different concept of time, with one year there being equivalent to one day in the outside world. No living creatures live there. The "Sugoroku Space" that Goku has wandered into is a space where all actions are governed by the rules of Sugoroku. You can escape if you win 540,000 times in a row, but if you cheat or lose, you die. Normally, no one lives there, but the space raccoons Sugorou and Sukogorou are trapped there. Because he cheated, space collapsed, but they was saved by Goku and escaped to the Kaioshin Realm.
Sugorou and Sukogorou
A parent and child space raccoon that Goku met in the Sugoroku space. They challenged him to a Sugoroku game.
Work Topics: Not People from the Afterlife, But People from This World? (Kamesennin, Tsurusenin, Fortune-Teller Baba, Mutaito)
Among humans, there are "sages" who reach extraordinary heights through repeated training, and there are also those who, like Fortune-Teller Baba, can travel freely between This World and the Afterlife despite being human.

Akuma 悪魔 (Evil Demons)
Those who live in hell. However, it is not a general term for hellish creatures, but rather seems to refer to a specific species within them. In chapter 103, Ackman, who fought Goku in the devil's toilet, is an evil demon (Akuma/悪魔).
Special Characteristics: Although the word sounds similar to "魔族" (Demon Clan) it is a completely different species.
Evil Demon Realm (Akuma-kai/悪魔界)
It refers to the "Demon Realm" (魔界). The world behind the surface world. It is also called the "Dark Demon World" (Anokoku makai/暗黒魔界). For more details, see the "Demon Realm" (makai/魔界) section (p. 53).
Afterlife
The spiritual world where souls exist apart from their physical bodies. It is the so-called afterlife, and also the world where the gods who control the entire universe live. It is also called "Heaven." It is divided into three small worlds: Enma World, Kaio World, and Hell, and each world is managed by King Enma or Kaio. The administrator of Hell is King Enma.
Special Characteristics: When all living things die, their souls are sent to the Enma World. There, King Enma will examine the deeds of the deceased during their lifetime and decide where they will go after death - either heaven or hell. The souls after death look the same as they did in life, but the deceased wear halos above their heads like angels. This allows them to be distinguished from residents of the afterlife.
Dark Demon Realm
It means "The Demon Realm." The world behind the surface world. It is also called the "Devil Realm (Akuma-kai)." For details, see the "Demon Realm" section (p. 53).
Unusual Space☆
The venue for the Afterlife's Greatest Martial Arts Tournament. Located inside the Great Kai Hall, when you open the door to the room you will find a vast, otherworldly space.
Universe
An endless space that encompasses all celestial bodies that exist in This World. It is one side of the great world in This World that coexists with the "Demon Realm." In the world of Dragon Ball, the universe is located below the afterlife and is sealed off by a wall engraved with mysterious patterns. In the universe, there are "nebulae" made up of countless stars, and "galaxies" made up of countless nebulae. Each galaxy is overseen by a Kaio. The Earth is part of a galactic nebula, the solar system, on the edge of the northern galaxy.
Anime: In space, there is something called the "Space Police Organization." However, it does not have the power to oppose Frieza and the Saiyans.
Space Tidal Current☆
Gohan and the others' spaceship, heading for Planet Namek, encounters it and gets caught up in it. It flows around the fake planet Namek.
Urameshiya (Wrathful Ghost?)☆
A coffee shop in the afterlife, frequented by Fortune Teller Baba. It's a horrific establishment where all the customers and staff are monsters and ghosts.
Eternal Youth
The ultimate wish that the evil beings seeking the Dragon Balls are trying to grant. The Demon King Piccolo wished for eternal youth so that he could rule the Earth forever. Frieza and Vegeta also had similar wishes. Frieza wanted eternal rule over the universe, and Vegeta wanted eternal life, so they searched for the Dragon Balls, but their ambitions were never fulfilled.
Permanent Type
One of the energy methods that powers androids. It generates energy within itself and can operate permanently. It has more power than the other method, the "energy absorption type." It is used by Androids 16, 17, and 18.
Anime: It is also used by Androids 13, 14, and 15.
Age
The unified era used on Earth. The expression “Year 764” is used.
Special Characteristics: Some areas use the Gregorian calendar.
Energy
It refers to Ki. The overall power and energy that people possess. This is how Kaiōshin described ki. For more details, see the "Ki" section (p. 49).
Energy Absorption Type
One of the energy methods that powers androids. It uses a suction device attached to its body to absorb energy from other objects and propel itself. Although it is less powerful than the permanent type, it has the advantage of drastically reducing the life force of the target being absorbed. No. 19 and No. 20 are of this type.
Area
Each of the regions in the universe is divided into east, west, north, and south. They are referred to as the "eastern area" and the "western area." The areas are divided into east, west, north and south, and are each managed by a Kaiō.
Special Characteristics: Just like the universe, the Special Demon Realm is divided into multiple areas.
Ensenji (Round Life Tree)☆
A giant tree growing in hell. The truth is that only King Enma is allowed to eat its fruit.
Enma Realm
The world surrounding King Enma's palace. It's atemporary waiting place for souls whose destiny has not yet been decided, whether they will go to heaven or hell. Its exact size is unknown. After waiting their turn here, they meet King Enma, who decides where they should go. Facilities here include King Enma's palace and the starting point of the Snake Path.
Anime: You can also find the spirit laundering device, the Urameshiya coffee shop, and the afterlife airport.
Royal Defense Force
A national defense force commanded by the world's king. It is a large army armed with modern weaponry, and its main role is to defend the inner capital, where King Castle is located. When Demon King Piccolo and Cell appeared, they were completely useless and were instantly destroyed.
Olympic
A global sports festival held once every four years. Even in the world of DB, the 100 meter sprint record seems to be around 9 to 10 seconds.
I'm an Earthling with Saiyan Pride☆
These were Vegeta's words in response to Super No. 17's provocation in "DBGT." It is striking that Vegeta, who was once proud of being the prince of the Saiyans, now calls himself an Earthling. Perhaps he found pride in fighting for his family.
Kaio World
The world where Kaio exists. It exists in the afterlife. Here, the four Kaios watch over the north, south, east and west of the universe. The Kaiō who frequently appears in the original manga is the Kaiō in charge of the Northern Area. The North Kaio's residence is a small planet called Kaio Planet, floating in the sky above the thick clouds. The extent of the Kaio World is unknown, but three other Kaio Planets, like the North Kaio Planet, float across a wide area of the afterlife. Heaven and Grand Kaio's Planet are also included in the Kaio Wolrd.
Kaioshin Realm
The world where the Kaioshins, the highest ranking beings among the Kaioo, reside. Its scale is about one-tenth of the space of This World and the Afterlife combined. It constantly orbits the periphery of This World and the Afterlife, watching over and maintaining balance across the entire world. The Kaioshin Realm is centered around the Kaioshin Planet. The Kaioshin's planet is the only star in the Kaioshin's Realm, and around it there are countless small suns. The only beings in the Kaioshin Realm are the Kaioshin, his supporter Kibito, and Old Kaioshin.
Special Characteristics: All living things and souls other than the Kaiōshin cannot enter the Kaiōshin Realm. The only way to visit the Kaioshin Realm is to borrow Kibito's power or teleport there.
A World where the Past, Present and Future Intersect☆
A room inside Karin Tower. Entering there allows you to embark on a spiritual journey through time. While training in preparation for the battle against the Saiyans, Krillin, Tienshinhan and the others fight Saiyans in a past world and realize how inexperienced they are.
Katsudon, Tendon, Oyakodonburi (Pork Bowl, Tempura Bowl, Chicken Bowl!)☆
This is the call used by Goku and Pan in "DBGT" to simultaneously shoot Rude's weak point. Goku had trouble getting the timing right with the "One, two, three" call, so they changed it to a call that even Goku could understand. When Piccolo in Hell and God (Dende) on Earth tried to connect This World with the Afterlife using resonance power, they couldn't get the timing right, so Goku taught Piccolo this call.
Kamiccolo-sama
That's what Goku called Piccolo after he fused with God. Later, when two beings were assimilated through fusion or other means, they were generally referred to by names that combined the names of the two original beings.
Special Characteristics: Piccolo rejected the nickname.
Structure of the Temple of God☆
There are rooms in various places around the world that you can go to freely. Goku had used this room to go roaming when he was training as a boy. There is also a room called the "Room of Time," which seems to control time.
Turtle School
The school of martial arts practiced by Master Roshi. The goal is to become healthy and live a happy life through martial arts. Its representatives include Goku, Krillin etc..
