Cooler's Pauldrons

Are Cooler's pauldrons just an aesthetic design, or is there another underlying aspect as to why they are the way they are? Is Cooler the only character in the franchise with this type of pauldrons?

There’s no way to really tell. The Frieza Race is complicated.

They have to be the most interesting design that I've ever seen. It adds a more menacing aesthetic to the final form. It would appear that the spikes from the head don't interfere or interact with the pauldrons.

I agree. Final Form Cooler was my favorite character design when I was new to DBZ.
