Could 2 Dodorias defeat Vegeta?

Well, he dodged Kiwi's attack, too. I think he's just showing off his speed.

Zarbon actually got beat down pretty easily. He also was too slow to hit Vegeta.

He probably was in that fight, but usually if the advantage is over-whelming they have no problem tanking one another's attack, even-though that didn't really become a fixture until after the Freeza Saga.

Wasn't Zarbon only punched once, I thought I remembered it. He charged at Vegeta and Vegeta was too fast for him and punched him himself. He didn't seem really harmed by it, though. He just seemed to shrug it off and transformed. I think had the fight gone on a-bit longer and Zarbon really tried, he could have done better against Vegeta than Goku did against Cell.

Given the fights themselves, I've never seen how Dodoria + Zarbon was supposed to be able to defeat vegeta.

I do think people over-state Vegeta's advantage over Zarbon, though. IIRC Zarbon only once went for a punch and then got punched himself, but didn't seem to bothered by it (other than a-bit bloody) and then he transforms.

There's a lot more to the fight than that. Vegeta being able to just grab Zarbon's punch, deflecting a massive blast that shocks zarbon, dodging multiple kicks that vegeta remarks "looks like he's standing still" etc.

Really? I don't remember that for some-reason. I don't think the blast has to be all that huge, though considering how fast he created it and it being Freeza's soldiers.

But my point about Zarbon not seeming that affected by Vegeta's hits still stands.

I just don't put any emphasis into Freeza's words after seeing how useless they are. As shown, Zarbon was pretty worthless as a fighter, so a weaker Dodoria won't change that.

Yeah, that statement by Freeza never made much sense to me. Vegeta was able to tool both Dodoria and Zarbon easily, so working as a team should really make no difference.

Some statements don't make sense, but it's implied Vegeta's at least one of the better strategists, so a dumb brute that let a 3000 fodder get a blast on him shouldn't be able to beat Vegeta if there were two of him.

No, I think 2 Dodorias would still lose. We know Dodoria and Zarbon fighting together could defeat Vegeta, but I don't think 2 Dodorias could get the job done.

I found Freeza's statement to be motivation for Dodoria and Zarbon. Vegeta not only have the strength advantage, but speed, can sense ki, and is a better fighter.

I think Freeza probably thought Vegeta will be more arrogant due to his new power (like he was later on in the series). Like deciding to try to tank one of Dodoria or Zarbon's blast, but it backfire on him. Like Perfect Cell taking on ASSJ Vegeta's Final Flash to test his new power, but it backfire on him.

I think Freeza's just looking at it strictly from a numerical standpoint. Simply combining Dodoria and Zarbon wouldn't be a win in itself when there's more to it than that.

Freeza literally stated a team between Zarbon and Dodoria could defeat Vegeta and he wasn't factoring Zarbon's transformation into it. There's no reason to doubt him IMO.

They're terrible fighters, so it doesn't mean much. Zarbon can't hit Vegeta, which means a weaker Dodoria also wouldn't. Both are trash.

Vegeta was also sure he could handle both Zarbon and Dodoria if they tracked him down with their scouters. The only one he was worried about was Freeza.

When Dodoria got out of the water, he asked Vegeta if he was the one who knocked him down.

Did that even require a question when Vegeta was the only one around him? I also like how Dodoria is putting on an act the entire time he's talking. If only he had access to Super Saiyan....
