What's so hard to understand about that? Kuririn just didn't surpass Giran by the 22nd Tenkaichi-Budokai. He did barely though by the 23rd Tenkaichi-Budokai.
What? He did barely by the 23rd Budokai? 23rd Budokai Kuririn is probably close to young Piccolo Daimao.

I was joking, even-though I think Kurrin is still probably quite a bit lower than Young Piccolo-Daimao at the 23rd Tournament.

Goku would obviously be the more tired of the two since he just finished his match, but I don't think it's out of the question that Kuririn was weakened as well. Tambourine took him to be such a joke that he crumpled his entry form saying he was shocked a weakling like this made it to the tournament at all, and he doesn't even offer the same disrespect to someone like Giran later.
Well, Tambourine said that in the spaceship, when pasting the pages on the wall, before he even fought Cymbal.

Roshi's statement about Tambourine being able to kill Kuririn loses effect if it's only referring to a Kuririn weaker than Giran, don't you think?

Oh, nevermind it. I somehow read Cymbal in your comment haha. Why do I always confuse them?

Trunks killed Freeza while he wasn't at full power, so I don't think Toriyama really cares about that.

What if Kuririn wasn't tired against Tambourine?

Like I said, why would Roshi say Tambourine is strong enough to kill Kuririn if all he accomplished was killing someone with less power than Giran, who was like several times weaker than 22nd Budokai Kuririn? :king

A 2x gap could work between Tambourine and Cymbal, because a regular Kaioken was also describe as making a person many times stronger.

Maybe Giran trained by punching out panda bears. :king

Tambourine was just bragging when he killed Krillin, he didn't think anything of Giran either so the "he didn't crumble Giran's picture and say he's surprised he made it to the tournament" argument holds no weight. Krillin wasn't exhausted, it had been almost a whole day since Krillin's fight with Goku and even then Krillin never got that injured or fatigued. Tambourine was just several times stronger than Krillin, nothing more and nothing less.

Yeah, Tambourine is much higher than Cymbal or Kuririn, but still fodder to 22nd Tenkaichi-Budokai Goku.

I wouldn't say he was fodder to Goku. In my eyes being fodder compared to someone implies a multi-fold gap and Tambourine obviously wasn't that much lower than Goku. Tambourine is 83% of 22nd Goku (Pre Zenkai) and 70% of Post Zenkai Goku imo.

Because Giran is actually very strong, but only that strong when he feels like it :king

Roshi already held the upper hand in the 21st, so I gotta give him the edge. Giran is a worthy competitor though, although both pale in comparison to the almighty Kibito, who surpassed a fusion containing him because he wanted to :troll

That was only in the anime, in the manga Goku's fight against Tenshinhan was right after the semi final.

Yeah none of the gang had any time to rest after Goku's match with Tenshinhan. Them heading out to garb dinner was filler as well.
