Daigen's name pun

He's the guy who hits on Chelye in DBS Broly

Since he's in the Freeza Force, his name is most likely a pun on a food you put in the refrigerator. Most of the soldiers' names are puns of fruits, but I can't think of anything "Daigen" would be a pun on. It sounds like something Japanese. Maybe "daidai", a type of bitter orange in Asia?
