He left Funimation. Rumor has it he got fired because he wouldn't stop demanding to work on the music for all the DBZ movies (he composed the music for the dubs of the Trunks and Bardock specials, iirc):

So, they replaced his role with other actors in the show going forward and redubbed his roles in previous home releases for the sake of consistency. Dale Kelly's roles weren't the only ones that got redubbed, though.
